Give the cup to Argentina already

lol no. Argentina yet to go up against a high quality side and now they will against Belgium. Many times in past couple of years good defensive sides have stopped Messi, and Im predicting Belgium will negate him with relative ease as has been the case in the past couple of seasons in UCL against big sides for Messi (Atleti this year, Bayern last year). Argentina's defense is weak and keeper is chit. If the Swiss had a decent striker they would have put the 2 golden chances they had away. Argentina have been too reliant on Messi. Higuan, Aguero, Di Maria are world class players but they haven't been as effective yet.

The Dutch have an awesome coach they are gonna be tough to beat. He changed from counter attacking 5-3-2 to more aggressive 4-3-3, they kept the ball alot more looked in control and dangerous suddenly, Mexico also sat back and that cost them the game. Van Gaal also knows how to play against tiki taka as 5-1 thrashing of Spain showed. Germany may use tiki taka (they did against Algeria in 1st half then became fore direct in 2nd, USA game was that style too).

^ +1. Though Di Maria finally took some responsibilty but the fact remains that there's over reliance on Leo. Their defense worries me though. so easily can teams penetrate their defense that it's as if they aren't there at all. Belgium would be a good test for them. The first real good team they'll meet.

Di Maria was pants all game. Lucky Leo fed him a great chance to bag a goal.

He wasn't that bad. Playing in a position where he normally doesn't play and yet was able to hit around 10 on target shots... I didn't say he was excpetional but atleast someone asie from Messi did something. And yeah, Messi cud have easily scored from there.

Di Maria is normally excellent, just had a bad day. Some of his crosses were lol worthy Id love for Messi to win, but do agree that Arg have been very ordinary and the first half decent team they play may well beat them. Bel need to start Fellaini just behind Origi, and not in a deeper lying role where he does nothing.
