Would this 11 beat our first team?

Sooda got a reaction from Lord in PAK vs INDIA opening Match T20 WC 2021- what went wrong
Shami is not a T20 bowler. Test match lengths won't help him here and lack of cutters, slower ball means he will get read easily. He should not be in the squad.

    Natarajan is a huge loss

If Hardik was in good batting form , he is a shoo in for no 6, even when not bowling. As he is struggling with bat and not bowling, he is a passenger.

Sooda got a reaction from Norman in Selector's mum on Badrinath’s inclusion
Easy to dig up and laugh at old posts with the benefit of hindsight- truth is, at the time, Badri was the best domestic player and Virat was just starting out so it was right that people wanted Badri to get a fair shot.

Sooda got a reaction from neel roy in How did Indian batting fail in relatively easier batting conditions?
One word: Jamieson. He is simply very very good. Set up Virat and Pujara so well. Very difficult to get runs off him, even in good batting conditions.

    Its a silly statement

So many of the younger guys, or newer guys have literally played a handful of LOIs. Sure SKY, Krunal, Kishan have made good starts to their careers: but that is all it is, STARTS.

The Aussies of the late 90's to early noughties could almost field a 2nd XI good enough to beat most Int'l sides, even in test cricket. We certainly dont have that depth in tests, and in LOIs we dont know nearly enough about the newer guys yet!

Sooda got a reaction from express bowling in Most deadly ATG opening bowling pair
Marshall Ambrose are not just two top tier ATG bowlers but also complement each other more so than other combos, got a shorter skiddier type and tall bouncy one, deadly in all conditions

Arguably Pak would open with Waqar, with his pace.

Heres a fantasy team of golden oldies, only ever played test cricket, but could have made a handy T20 team...aggressive and deep batting, a genuine quick (for that zamana anyway), quality spinners- indeed, lots of bowling options- good fielders too

Hard to argue against it, just for their sheer destructiveness, taken hitting to a new level... the England team in general have

It is Tough to compare across eras, as Morgan pointed out in his post match interview sport like all things evolves, bats and batsmen have become bigger and stronger, conditions stacked in their favour... arguably the quality of new ball bowling in this era is not quite as good as it was 15 to 20 years ago

Sooda got a reaction from AmazeBallz in KL rahul is the most mentally weak batsman India has produced in last two decades
The last time he batted before this T20I series was in Dec in Australia. T20Is really arent the best format to get back into some kind of batting touch, especially on a "two paced" pitch. Management should assure him his place is not under threat; he is too good a bat in this format.

Sooda got a reaction from kirkutfan in Have to play 6 bowlers in LOIs
Can not go in with 5 bowlers even in T20s. Especially with one of them Hardik. Axar should not have been dropped and need to get back him in the side, if it means having to drop SKY - though I really want him in the 11, Iyer is hard to drop now- then so be it

The pitch helped Hardiks style of bowling slow cutters; but really he is not a front line bowler

Kishan, KL, Virat, Iyer, Pant, Hardik, Sundar, Thakur, Axar, BK, Chahal

... we still have enough depth with Sundar to BK from 7 to 10
