But thats where Ind players are not honest to even themselves, they keep playing way past their prime.
In Karun's case he should have know that this was his last chance, if he does well he gets to play more and will be dropped if he does not. The rope will always be a shorter one for him.
 
And it was not like bad batting conditions, those were flat pitches where every1 got runs, he was given a favourable spot too.
There are multiple players eying for a spot in Ind team.

Bowling average 30, SR 54 is quite good considering he has played more than half his games in spin unfriendly wickets of Eng and Aus.

So in this case England were 79/7 in a 50 over game when rain break happened, so had it continued it is very likely they would have been allout for less than 150 in 50 overs game. Now when game gets reduced for both teams and Pakistan is also reduced overs, in order to not disadvantage Pakistan the 150 is reduced to cater to the reduced overs they need to face.
 
Had Engalnd been 79/3 instead of seven down, the score would have been way higher because they had the wickets to end closer to 250 for example.
 
DLS may not be perfect but it is the best of what we have for now. Now that AI is booming Cricket should start using that for these score revisions/predictions.

Also bowling resources get messed up  as the allocation of overs get changed. Just incase if you had bowled too many overs of your death bowler early on you probably will miss the advantage of using them in the backend. It is pretty complex.

They were supposed to be halwa team in 2023 world cup too, they ended winning that and then WTC. I would not under estimate Aussies in any world cup.

Sundar should be backed and he can easily play as a specialist batter. He will give you few overs overseas and can be main spinner at home. He has shown great temperament so far in his short career. 

Can eve bat at 5. I see no difference in him and other specialist batsmen we have tried 

Not as much abuse as Gambhir would have got and his CV would have looked damn bad with 3 straight Test series losses!
