  1. Sa need to post 280 runs otherwise Dhawan will score a 75-80 and save his place in the team.
  2. Lol, what has Ashwin done in his LOI career to talk about?
  3. IPL is not hurting Test Cricket, atleast in India. Guys like Washington Sundar who hasn't played any FC games till 2017 comes out in a Brisbane test and plays a pivotal role with both bat and bowl. You have to give credit to IPL here because it helps youngsters in being mentally up at the highest level.
  4. Also, don't forget Kamran Akmal too. It was a privilege watching him keep wickets for Pakistan.
  5. This is for Windies series assuming Shardul is rested. One trundler is fine. The problem with Dravid and co is that they are playing two of them. Now that I think about it again, no point resting Shardul as we do not have overseas test matches and he will rest during home matches.
  6. Play this team :- Shaw Kishan Shreyas Pant(wkt) SKY V Iyer D Chahar Axar Siraj Yuzi Avesh Either Pant or Shreyas to captain.
  7. The worst part is they will surely play Dhawan in the Windies ODI series and he will play the anchor role while Shaw or Kishan or whoever is tried will play around him as explosive bat and by end of series, Dhawan will retain his place as leading run scorer with 170 runs in 3 ODIs at average at 56.
  8. Sundar can play at 6 and Pant is also a no 6 for me unless he shows more consistency. A special knock once in a while is good for no.6 but not for 5. We need a 43-44 or more averaging batsman at both no 3 and 5 assuming they average over 35 in SENA. That is the expectation from our no.3 and no.5. We should try Gill at 3, Kohli will continue at 4 and 5 is a spot for guys like Vihari, Iyer etc to make it their own.
  9. Pataudi was no doubt one of the great leaders that India produced. However, if I think from an all time Indian XI perspective for no 5 position, I actually think of some other name from 1940s, who is also rated very highly as a captain having won India their first ever test win, has hundreds in Australia and averages an excellent 47 in test cricket. His name is Vijay Hazare. He also has 20 test wickets in his 30 test matches career.
  10. Bangalore is the venue for Virat's 100 test and in memory of what he has achieved for Royal Challengers Bangalore for 14 years, the curators will prepare a good batting wicket for their truly memorable batsman and captain to hit a hundred and make his 100th test a memorable one.
  11. It is mostly till the removal of Pujara and Rahane as Iyer can be replaced later pretty easily. PuRahane are getting chances unnecessarily.
  12. Pant and Rizwan are also arguably the two best keeper batsman in the world, not just in Asia.
  13. Okay, I go with McCullum and Rohit respectively.
