This is a win win situation, if they stay true to their word and boycott, we get spared from sh*t show of forced matches, plus it gives ICC free hand to isolate Pakistan.
Some, saying ICC cannot action against Pakistan for boycotting India match, their reasoning being previously countries like Australia, England have boycotted world cup matches as well, so ICC has no rules to take any action, that is simply not true.
Why this argument doesn't hold up is, when England refused to play Zimbabwe, NZ refused to play Kenya or Australia refused to play Sri Lanka, in all these cases the team simply did not receive the go ahead to travel to these countries due to security issues or security plus human rights issues, Pakistan however is travelling to Sri Lanka and refusing to honor a match which is a breach of contract and political interference, the ICC can and will impose fines, impose sanctions, can withhold NOCs for PSL.
There is a distinction between Force Majeure and a Voluntary Breach of Contract.
