Mosher
Its just his 1st game. T20 is a tough format for a youngster to debut in. But yeah lets send him back to the domestics based on one game. express bowling, Laaloo and speedheat 2 1 Link to comment

Not only is he very raw and undercooked he is also pretty pedestrian in pace . Fahim ashraf the allrounder from Pakistan is a couple of yards quicker.. Tone down the hype . Your bowlers trundle in tests 118 to 132..Hardik hits 145 in tests. Don't come on here and talk pace..lol RAZPOR and Rightarmfast 1 1 Link to comment

Probably needs to go back to domestics and fine tune. You can't bowl line and length in t20 anyway. Link to comment

express bowling
28 minutes ago, the don said: Hope so because can instantly tell that he is the sort of guy who will rely on air speed. You are correct. Siraj picks up loads of wickets on A-tours, IPL and domestic cricket with the full, fast in-dipping ball ... after setting him up with a rising ball. Did not see either the rising ball or full fast ball today. Totally out of rhythm. Mosher 1 Link to comment
sourab10forever
He is always expensive. But he failed to pick up wickets as well. It was road so can't blame him completely. Link to comment

Yes that was the problem. He is actually tried to bowl line length, slow balls but slow balls didn't work on this pitch. This pitch had some bounce. His inexperience was showing today. He was slower than usual and didn't hit the deck. Link to comment
puneet28
He was too emotional, team management need to stick with him. I am sure he can come up better. If we can try the likes of Vinay Kumar, Abhimanyu Mithun, Ashok Dinda, Ambati Rayadu and so, then these young prospects such as Siraj and Iyer must be given longer rope. beetle and express bowling 2 Link to comment
MCcricket
First of all only retarded selectors would pick a young debutant in T20, next the worst deck possible, the kid has promise n bowls 140 ish, some chewts here just pass judgements, he needs more exposure. Link to comment
renjith
he is a good bowler and will definitely bowl better once he plays more matches. yesterday emotions of making india debut got the better of him. am expecting him to be a regular in odi. Mosher 1 Link to comment
Rightarmfast
Judging a bowler based on one match is ridiculous. And that too, a T20? Give him some time to settle down. Indian bowlers get better with time. They dont have great mentors telling them what to do. express bowling 1 Link to comment
Straight Drive
Terrible figures (1/53) in yesterdays match. But just his first international match. This tonking will actually help him that he has to think how differently he has to bowl at international level than in domestic matches. Reality check will help. Link to comment

Actually, Siraj bowled differently yesterday than he usually bowls in domestic matches and got his success. He did not bowl as quickly and did not hit the deck hard enough yesterday. Link to comment
rkt.india
The only advice I have for him is accurate pace is his friend. Don't bowl slow intentionally. This is what Bumrah did yesterday. Was hitting 90 mph. speedheat 1 Link to comment

Watch this video from 0.24.00 ( ball-by-ball first spell ) Siraj is bowling against SA A, a few months back, on a track that is not the fastest. But the batsmen are hurried, beaten for pace and jumping at times. He needs to bowl like this. He perhaps wrongly thought that yesterday's pitch was a slow one and cut down his pace and used lots of slower ones. I hope Arun and the team management guide him on this issue with understanding. Bumrah has become a very smart bowler nowadays. He read the conditions well. The pitch was not gripping, our spinners went for runs. So, he went for raw pace and bounce off length. This is where the team seniors should have guided young Siraj ..... about the pitch type. Edited November 5, 2017 by express bowling Mosher 1 Link to comment
