In our locality, there is not even a single pothole for 3 kms atleast in any of the 4 directions in our area. Especially, our locality, they made a new road few years back and in the very next year they built a proper concrete road again the very next year. Got the whole new drainage pipeline for 700 metres before they built the new concrete road. Just have to call the MLA and he gets work done promptly. Even the MLA who was opponent in one case related to property given for public use being misused, is talking good now as the municipal elections are nearby. Even sent many chocolates and mithai on Diwali. Bugger needs support to win elections and depends on us to nominate the candidate who will be given seat to contest in elections. You need to pull the right strings to get work done and offcourse you need to have good rapport with politicians to have it done before anything else happens in his area. Shinde is fast. Once he signed a document in a matter of a day and there was no trouble at all in the proccess. Eknath Khadse is good too. Once you are in touch with the top brass, the MLA's are bypassed and if they are required in process, they know will have yo help such people. They once invited to attend the Winter session and see how the things happen. There is no problem whatsoever in our locality. Just a call or face to face discussion with MLA takes care of the issue. The stafd at municupalities who are relucatbt to remove one old file, will pull out 100 files to search for something you need if they know you are in touch with the who's who. Even one call to officer will ensure the mosquito repellant liquid is sprayed around the locality when required. Everything works as charm. There is no need of protest, few calls and face to face discussions are enough even for major requirments. But yes there are some major roads in other areas which have potholes for sure. Sorry, will read the mail in my leisure time. But heard that Mumbai has its fair share of problems in its highways. But agree that I went around in Mumbai near Patel, Andheri, Siddhi Vijayan temple , roads were pothole free.

Bad roads, potholes , everywhere. Highly unlivable. Maybe only some parts of Mumbai is the only livable city in India. People should protest as it is unacceptable Based on my little experience...Gandhinagar, Indore, Vizag are some of the best cities in India. Less traffic, better roads, better driving sense, less pollution and relatively clean environment. I'm sure cities like Gangtok, Aizwal, Chandigarh, Shimla, Trivandrum will be clean as well but I don't have first hand experience.

The newly constructed flyover near JVLR is also having potholes.Potholes are there on Western express highway flyovers as well. Even the newly built coastal road had a couple of potholes. There are manh flyobers which are totlaly pothole free. There are issues like any plave in world but it is not as bad as what is told on internet and fake posts and old pics. Mostly the roads apart from highways are pot hole free. The overall condition is much better than what one sees and reads on internet.

I did mention about potholes on coastal road and other roads in previous post. Coastal road is a new one so that was indeed shocking in the first week itself after the opening. Good roads near my houses. Even the roads near residences of my relatives and friends are good for long distances. So I am quite happy with the way things are. Having said that, there maybe potholes on roads in the areas which I have not gone recently. I do feel that the maintenance though needs to be fast and effective on certain affected parts on major roads. Edited October 29 by crictime Mariyam 1
