Likely be a 4 day test, with at-least a days worth of overs to be lost due to interrupting rain the coming days.

I suggest India go aggressive with 5 bowlers (2 spin + 3 seam combo). The seamers will lave a lot less overs to bowl in these conditions and likely to get breaks/breather. 2 spinners will bring in a lot of variety. Persistent dry weather for months plus recent rain, I think the pitch will be unpredictable and India is prepared either ways.

Stick to the same batting line up, hopefully even if they do not fire the second time the reduced game time/overs means there is hope of drawing it.

in this overcast condition u wanna weaken ur batting??

Pujara vs Dhawan vs nair

Dhawan- enough of him

Pujara- cudnt buy a run in county, m ok to ignore ok perfomance.......but he was woefull and hasnt done much overseas

Nair- He looks elegant but has a loose game that doesnt give much confidence in these condition against that quality bowling . Ill go with him and put rahane at 3........atleast he ll be in a better mindset then dhawan n pujara

Nair the hack will do zilch in this type of conditions, has flaws in his technique he was cleaned up like tailender by starc ( I know its strck and he can do it to any one but still nair don't give any confidence)  , pujara is hopeless, better to stick with dhawan only but demote him down the order lets see how he does with old ball around, that idiot is not an opener or else debut pant at least it wll be a good learning experience for him.

but we saw even when the ball has moved around even after loosing its shine

If giving exp is the idea why not nair- the guys scored a 300 not a small achievement and we need to get that middle order soughted so lets start trying and Nair is among the probables for middle order

Look at the difference in the color of the pitch. Left side 2014 and right one is of last test.

looks can be deceiving.  Some pitches can play worse than they look and some better than they look.  Chennai 2012 is a great example.  it looked horrible but played better than it looked. Same way Edgebaston.  it played worse than it looked due to the carpet nature of the pitch.

Have patience with Hardik, coz it doesnt matter if we lose the English series. What matters is, Pandya will perform in the year 2025!

about that

Ganguly- U didnt loose 1st test becoz of hardik

and rightly so, stop finding scapegoats coz thats the most easiest thing to do, instead try finding real issues
