Sgattick10
Rohit is here for 3, 4 series both home and away, even if he fails, he'll be persisted with cos seniority, captains fav, Mumbaiker, Ambani ki jaan etc.. Link to comment
ShoonyaSifar
Very good batting so far in the series. But will not get fooled by these 500+ and 600+ at home. In last 5 years, almost similar Test lineup has struggled to put up even 350 consistently in SENA. Link to comment

That tour will do nothing for Rohit. Shaw is young and it would be a good experience tackling the best left arm swing bowler in those conditions. Link to comment
rtmohanlal
Rahane,Pujara,Ishant & Saha should be replaced by VIhari , Gill,Kuldeep & Pant in the next test now that India has won the series... Link to comment

express bowling
If we are playing 5 specialist bowlers then our keeper should be a high average batsman too. We should have picked Pant as keeper because of this reason. Our batting depth is looking weak. Link to comment
express bowling
Top class test innings from Rohit. Has shown much improved ability of leaving balls outside the off stump ... despite a quick and probing spell of out-swing bowling by Rabada in the morning session. It is good to see that he is working on his weaknesses and taking test cricket seriously. And he was good dealing with the short ball as well as spin bowling as usual. express bowling
Does Washington Sundar have the big hitting ability needed at No.8. ? I haven't seen him bat enough in limited over games to form an opinion. Why is Rahul Chahar not playing in his place as he seems to be the better bowler ? Can't Deepak Chahar bat at 8 and Rahul Chahar at 9 ? Mosher 1 Link to comment

Dont think so , he looks more of a proper batsman....K.gowtham looks more of a slogger...even i think gopal is better with that role. Sundar is better suited to bat up the order. Can play a few cheeky shots but not power shots Link to comment

express bowling
Samson throws away both the chances to make a mark in T20Is. Got chances to open in both the matches but did not grab any of the opportunities by playing loose shots. It is true that anyone, no matter how good, can have some failures early in their careers. The failure part is not an issue at all. But playing loose shots definitely is an issue. Mosher 1 Link to comment
express bowling
Manish Pandey 2.0 needs to be looked at in a different light than earlier. He is finishing well these days, is a better T20 player, starting his hitting without taking time and hitting well too. He should get some chances. I am not sure if he should bat anywhere below 5. one option is to remove iyer and have pandey at 5. I feel we need batters who strike at 150+ at 6-8. as of now, I can only think of hardik in that position. thakur can slog a few but his bowling is poor. need to try rana or suryakumar perhaps. SUMO
Mayank and Shardul both are limited but good in optimising their talent. Have calm heads under pressure which is more valuable than just raw talent. I am very sure Manish would have pulled it off at least twice had he been at Ross Taylor's position in last 3 games. And Khaleel, Siraj would have lost us if put in Shardul's place. Replace them if we have one more Hardiks and Sainis, but they deserves some respect. Link to comment
putrevus
Manish Pandey has matured a lot even though he still does not have the ability to hit boundaries. He and Iyer have to be given consistent run.Iyer again looked suspect against short pitch bowling. Link to comment
Ankit_sharma03
didnt see India's innings - everyone raising doubts over iyer ability against short pitch bowling so did it happen again? Link to comment
putrevus
I don't think this series has given any suprises at all other than Manish Pandey. It still showed India is top heavy and they still don't have any hitters down the order. Dubey is not of international class in batting either. This guy cannot complain just like Pant of not getting enough chances to prove himself. Washington Sundar is another bits and pieces player who is being projected as so called allrounder. Edited February 2, 2020 by putrevus Vickydev 1 Link to comment
