I hope team understand that Bhuvi + Pandya combo we are too weak as pacer group. You can't have two avg ODI bowlers in side if you want to win worldcup. We must play 3 proper pacers and two spinners & if bowling all rounder is needed then jadeja might be an option. Pant/DK should replace Dhoni as well. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

Number
Just now, Trichromatic said: How? BCCI has all types of restrictions already in place. Players are instructed about how they behave publicy, what they can talk about in public etc. This is not one off case. Board has already been doing it for long time and it's just an extension of that. Maybe not the show cause notice, but internally they have been controlling cricketers more than any other boards do. They are business entity who have to protect image. They get money for the image and game they market. Well they have the captain who shouts at and abuses umpires, teammates and opponents when the match is going on. All these are accepted because he can perform well. Dont think there is any cohesive thought process like image building. Its just being reactive to social media backlash. And if that is really the case then again BCCI is being over conscious about image. How many people will stop watching cricket when they get to know cricketers go to nightclubs, sleep with cheerleaders ? I guess close to none because most people already know that happens. ShoonyaSifar
Most of these answers on the talk shows are scripted. Karan Johar found two Basra’s for a nice TRP and these two got trapped. What they thought was flamboyant and cool, actually was despicable public behaviour. Good on their part to have realised their mistake and apologised. When you are a public figure, you are under scrutiny all the time and have to be extremely careful. I do hope with BCCI notice, them saying sorry and giving an explanation, matter ends here. Saw some tweets asking for fines and suspensions, that will be too extreme. beetle and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1 Link to comment

They have been proactive about image building. It's not about preventing anything from happening. Do you think there are no infighting, everyone in BCCI likes each other? People know that all types of normal stuff goes on inside dressing room and outisde also. But still BCCI maintains strict leash on what goes to media for that image. It is not restricted just to players, but applies to ex-cricketers and others involved. BCCI pays everyone and ensures that people keep their mouth shut. Pakistani, Australian, Saffers, WI, SL - cricketers from other countries are more vocal than Indian cricketers when it comes to their issues. Does it mean that Indian players don't face any issues. But we don't see players giving interviews like other cricketers. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

Are you one of those people who think every good looking white woman is a slut or pornstar? He is just trying to be Chris Gayle. Even Gayle is hated for such behavior even though he is not as crude as Pandya and a much greater cricketer than this 2 takey ka player. Look at someone like Bumrah and how well he speaks. Even Shami kept his personal affairs under the radar even though he probably sleeps with as many women in a day ( obviously paying for it) than Pandya has in his entire life span. I think he is trying to be like some soccer players or even WI players but it doesn’t come natural. From Pataudi to Gavaskar to Sachin to Dhoni to Virat look how they carry themselves. This is disgusting behavior. Unbelievable you think this is cool sandsaims, raki05, LordPrabhzy and 6 others 3 5 1 Link to comment

Cricketics
I think Pandya has assumed and thought that talking like this will get him more fanbase and get him bollywood contract and that it will work well for his image. The success he has had has made him talking this way in public and now he is going to realize that its not going to work in India This can work in USA in Ellen de Genres show but in India it is going to make you laughing stock. velu, UrmiSinhaRay, nitinbwj and 1 other 2 2 Link to comment
