The projected population decline through this century is expected to be the greatest in human history. The UN estimates China to decline to 670 odd million by 2100. But UN projections are always too high and are consistently downgraded every year . More internal analysis by the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences estimates that it could be around 525 million by 2100. That's a decline of around 800 million people in the next 75 years! It's a consequence of having one of the lowest fertility rates in the world ( higher than Korean, lower than Japan)

This year marriage registrations will be 56 lac (based on yoy data till March, last full year it was 61 lacs) 2. Births lag this figure by 5 years meaning in 2029 there will be 61 lac babies born and 2030, arnd 56 lac babies will be born. I have analysed the birth and marriages data of past 15 years. 3. If you add all the babies born from 2020 till 2100, then the total population in 2100 will be equal or slightly less than this figure. I've seen projections as low as 488 million for them by the end of the century . By contrast, the lowest projection I've seen for India(correct me if I'm wrong ) is about 1.09 billion at the turn of the century. Lone Wolf 1

Trump pulled Pakistan closer to offend India. Pakistan in result started to ignore China. China started playing the reverse UNO and they're calling in India to strengthen the ties. Situation may remain like this for some time, then game will again shift. The relationships between nations are now dependent on who's in the power. Everyone needs each other. India can give some carrots to China, and use the time to balance US's sanctions.
