Odi captains are anchoresque type, which are mostly bestowed with Indian odi captaincy They will mostly statpad in useless bilaterals, and that is biggest drawback for t20s Someone like Gill will inflict immense immense damage to the T20 side you can't even imagine

At least we would have won the series 2-1 and booked a spot in WTC F. Axar is probably our most assured batsman against spin (standout in 23 BGT) and Iyer loves bashing Kiwis, also has luck against them which is an underrated aspect of the game. Kohli for instance has always been damn unlucky against Kiwis but fares better against RSA, Eng. Head has luck against us, Elgar before him. We would have won Mumbai test with both. Loss was confirmed in 1st. Second test is debatable... Wouldn't have been easy chase in 4th inns. Iyer only improved coz he went back to play domestic cricket. Ro Ko Gill three duds handicapped us in that series. I'd say combination of Iyer Jurel and Axar would have given us 2-1 series win. Gollum and Lord 1 1

Gill will hold us back. He can open in ODIs but he isn't indispensable. In T20s he doesn't even get into the team just like Ruturaj. Manucrick and tapandrun 1 1
