LordPrabhzy
Williamson is like 700/800 runs away from the 10K runs will be the first NZ batter to achieve this. Kohli even though has only 80 runs less than Kane mama, doesnt have the hunger or technique to ever get to that 10K mark at the rate he is going and his shi*ty average Gollum 1 Link to comment

Meaning whole of next WTC cycle, and then some assuming he skips a few series like he has been doing since 2020. We won't qualify to next final as well if the most important batting position continues to give such abysmal returns. Link to comment
ungboysj
It's a great battle between Smith and root Root is the better batsman but Smith has the better results this far even if not by much Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Kohli the test player is way way behind others. One great peak surrounded by mediocrity. Link to comment

Gollum
Kohli is in the Amla class. Kane perhaps closest to Dravid, Younis. Root in Sanga/Kallis class. Smith has legit grounds to be in the GOAT race, excluding Bradman of course. This is about tests only. rollingstoned, Ultimate_Game and New guy 3 Link to comment
coffee_rules
Kohli is so far behind in the last 4 years in tests compared to the fab 4 Link to comment

Tbh Amla was clutch in test cricket. Helped RSA draw a couple of series in India (one man show in 2010), won a series in Eng (300 in Lord's), that amazing 196 knock in WACA 2012 which won them the series. He used to score tough runs and was an integral part of that legendary RSA side which was unbeaten overseas for 10 years. Edited January 30 by Gollum Link to comment

Throwaib_Chuckter
Brat Lolllly has been consistently good with his clownish theatrics. Is there a metric for that, I wonder. We could hand out medals and sh!t for that. He'd be ready with an acceptance speech at the drop of a catch...sorry hat. Edited January 30 by Throwaib_Chuckter Link to comment

The Hound
punter and tendya both fell off in the last stage of their career. Smith will also probably end with 52-53 avg. Link to comment

And at home it was always Ashwin & Jadeja. So essentially other than useless and impactless runs, he never did much in Tests. Link to comment

Yeah but not averaging over 50 in any single country away from home, not even bangladesh is pretty extraordinary Link to comment

Didn't know that Kohli doesn't average 50 even in one country. Essentially never been a difference maker. Ironically the only place he averages over 50 was at home where we didn't even need him.
