Amit228
Watched Saini nd khaleel bowling... very encouraging signs with bhuvi being innocuous nd trundling nd with shami's deplorable death bowling credentials.. good to have two pacers in reckoning who were making west Indian batsmen hog nd hop around. Saini's pace is intimidating..good bounce.. nd he seems to have worked on his yorker as well.. sans a good yorker he was being carted around in ipl.. khaleel off late was giving signs that he has slowed down... Now he is getting into his mattel.. he is more about seam than swing.. he beats both edge of the bat... Needs to do this on regular basis..with express pace... nd this will bode well for indian cricket going into future. tweaker and express bowling 1 1 Link to comment

They will get hammered in death overs along the way. Let's just take it in our chin and hope they will tighten up their death bowling further. Real test is against better power hitters. Sandeep99
Saini's yorker to Dowrich is one for the ages. To make a good batsman look like a tailender is something to be proud about. Khaleel and Sainai are surely the finds of this tour. The hostility in their bowling is really awesome to watch for a viewer. But we can be sure they won't be given chances as Indian team management will be looking to give more overs to Bhuvi and Shami as they 'need confidence back' after the world cup India A's batting has been thoroughly deplorable though. Apart from Gaekwad and Gill, none of the other batsmen look the part to step up to Indian team. Watching Manish Pandey can be made an official punishment for the most heinous crimes. Vihari looks alright. Iyer will not come good even if chances are given to him. But I can safely bet both Iyer and Pandey will be selected in the Indian squad so that Ravi Bombay Shastri and Virat Basket case Kohli can be satisfied. Suhaan 1 Link to comment
Sandeep99
By the way, why the f are we still investing in Axar Patel, the panauti of panautis? Is being taken to cleaners by Dhoni against CSK the only reason for his selection? He is the most talentless cricketer we ever produced. Even MSK Prasad, Noel David, and Ashish Kapoor had more talent than him Link to comment

Iyer scored a match winning 77 last ODI when all others fell like pack of cards.. One failure doesn't mean he is not good enough. Even Gill & Gaikwad failed in 1st ODI. Manish Pandey is useless can't believe why he is given so many chances in IND A when they know he will fail on big stage. Link to comment

Rabada was a flop in the WC, Archer got tonked for 15 yesterday and Starc went for 73 against us. Just because they may get hit is no reason to call them average or below average when even the very best are leaking runs. No more testing Saini. If he is bowling 150+, he should be in the team over Bhuvi or Shami. Period. There are maybe 8-10 bowlers in the world ATM bowling at that pace, why should we waste him on these "A" matches. But guess what, that's exactly what we'll do and then bring him in when he is hurt or post injury, bowling in low 140s and claim he was never any good. Stupid Indian selectors. vishalvirsingh, rock777, MK55 and 2 others 2 2 1 Link to comment

Never said do not select but do not go overboard like out of this world .. like stuff based on this opposition. Both will have to learn quite a bit before we say ... Out of this world. We also need to check how quality players work against same short rising ball like aus. Eng players before going overboard. Also need to check what options they have if batters attack their this stock ball the short rising ball ? Link to comment

express bowling
The main thing I look for in any fast bowler, new or old, is ... whether he is combining pace and bounce with accuracy. As long as he is doing this ... that is, a quick bowler is not dropping pace or not just floating the ball up or not spraying the ball ... I am happy. If he does any of these then whether he gets hit or not or ends ups getting some fluke wickets ... I would be unhappy. Mosher 1 Link to comment
