Lazenby just did one film but since I like OHMSS, he has grown on me. Brosnan tried to combine elements of Connery and Moore, while Craig is a continuation of Dalton, who was ahead of his time. If I have to pick two, it would be the two legendary Bonds - Connery and Moore. As for Bond girl characters, in the order of release: Pussy Galore (GF) Fiona, the henchwoman (TB) Tracy (OHMSS) Solitaire (LALD) Agent XXX (TSWLM) Octopussy Elektra (TWINE) Pussy Galore If they name such a name now, all feminazi warriors will be all over them crying about objectifying women (rightfully so!) Dalton is the least popular. Connery and Moore were good for their times, but they are not timeless, they don't grow with time like say Clint Eastwood. With the modern version, ruled out of comparison, Brosnan was v good as good as the first two. The best bond girl (they don't age with time): Ursula Andress (Dr No) Tanya Roberts (A View to a kill) The one in TWINE The worst is Hally Berry. zen
The name alone merits a place in a top 5 list .... in the film, the character is strong and helps to save 1000s of lives after Bond's unsuccessful attempt PS Edited December 5, 2019 by zen
Jimmy Cliff
Haven't seen the trailer but apparently this is a "woke" James Bond film .

It is damn irritating, having to read Wikipedia after watching the movie to see their linkages. Read the books: OHMSS-> YOLT .... if possible: TB->OHMSS->YOLT->TMWTGG

sandeep
@zen Since you seem to be a fan of the genre, are you familiar with that french author who writes similar stuff, but even more pot-boiler-y?? And his country-specific intel and research was so good that a lot of his books are famous/infamous for making predictions?

Ranvir
They need to stop making James Bond, Star Wars, Terminator and superhero movies. They're just cash cows with movies that are getting worse. Stan AF and velu

GE is good but, imo, has not aged well relatively. It borrows heavily from other Bond films as well. For starters, the background score is not strong (may be video game like). Natalya is probably one of the boring Bond girls, while Onattop tries to be Fatima of Never Say Never Again. There are silly dialogs such as "I like it straight up with a twist" and often repeated Bond ones like "spend the money quickly, Mr. Bond." The film has its share of silly moments such as Travelyan (006) hiding in the shadows at the Russian plant in the beginning, trying to jump scare Bond (007), who he is supposed to meet, and speaking in Russian to him Like all Bond films, GE has good moments too and fun to watch when in mood for such a film. The most fun Brosnan Bond is Tomorrow Never Dies (Backseat driver, Dr. Kaufmann, etc.,) but I have gone with The World is Not Enough for 2019 as it is not only close enough but also has good performances by Brosnan, Dench, Marceau and Carlyle. TWINE is also a different Bond film relatively speaking. Edited January 1, 2020 by zen Turning_track
