Saha has got an MoM for two unbeaten unbeaten half-centuries (so purely for batting) against New Zealand on a green Eden Gardens track. Saying you can't rely on him for any runs is like saying Pant can't be relied on to take any catches (that is only true compared to Saha, not on an absolute scale). shychipmunk
Virat striking at 23 per 100 balls, needs to show some intent, can learn something from the way mayank & pujara batted! SrinjayDutta 1 Link to comment
Nikola
Nortje looks bit like James Pattinson. Link to comment
putrevus
Case should be made for Rahane being out of the team in matches played in India.Horses for courses should apply to batsmen too. express bowling 1 Link to comment
putrevus
Mayank looks best player of spin bowling in this team.Kohli is always suspect against spin bowling. Pandya_Power 1 Link to comment
G_B_
There is a good bit on this deck for seamers. India reach 400 plus first innings its a very good effort. Link to comment

I like Saha but I'm not sure if he has scored runs consistently enough to justify playing the extra bowler. Our batting looks thin especially with rahane at 5. Link to comment

Pandya_Power
Mayank brings the same sort of mental attitude that Viru brought. While these two don't really have an attacking game to take on the short pitched stuff, they put such deliveries out of their mind immediately and don't half-ass it while going after anything in their half. And they absolutely murder spinners. I think Mayank has cemented the opening spot for himself. Can end up with a career average of 50+ and 6k+ runs. SA and Eng are going to be the big tests obviously. Link to comment
cowboysfan
saffers are in big trouble, this pitch will take turn early and the bounce is really good so both Ash and jaddu will be lethal. Link to comment

Not only the above stats, he emphatically showed that in the first test where he scored 30* & 40 from top 6 positions too.The only obstacle is the morons in the TM. Link to comment

He played 4 really good hook and pull shots, three of which went for boundaries. This forced Nortje to stop using too many bouncers. Link to comment

To counter the movement he stood outside the crease to Philander. Got out to a very good delivery from Rabada though. express bowling 1 Link to comment
Mosher
Bounce, movement off the seam and turn for spinners. Very good pitch. cowboysfan 1 Link to comment
