Do you actually believe that he is a 16 year old ?

These " teenagers "  have to get up 1 hour earlier than others every day and shave 3 times and apply face softening cream liberally,  before they are allowed to play.

Would be true 10 yrs ago. Not sure if its true today. Let's first wait and watch.

Got to say, Misbah played this brilliantly.

Poyz fans always cry about youngsters not being given a chance whenever they lose a series as if they have Bradmans and McGraths waiting in the wings. :giggle:

Now , they can't even say that. And Misbah can easily escape criticism saying it was an inexperienced team after the inevitable thrashing.

Well played Misbah. :hatsoff:

Musa is definitely not 19 and naseem certainly not 16 lol. But they are all young enough. But test debuts in Australia with very little FC experience? That's harsh. Musa is not test class and naseem after his back injury won't be able to bowl long spells at pace. They should have picked Sameen Gul who is tall , has decent pace and has done well this QEA season. Won't stop Australia from destroying Pak as usual but would be better than unproven young fast bowlers.

Anyway, as RAF said earlier. There are no expectations from this team. Any result other than a 2-0 whitewash would be considered a bonus so these lads should just go and have some fun over there.

How would any self respecting team get so ass r'd. I think pak is sending kids because they can not become more zalil. So aus will butt r their team if they send green horns lulz the jokes on aussies even the all time besht 11 from pak will also get butt rd huh. They hope to get kids to learn through the years forgetting the fact that getting beat in Aus will be a habit for them it might already be for pak anyway

I see this as a way for Misbah to show people these kids are nothing special. We need oldies back cause there is no talent in Pakistan.

What is the harm in developing Naseem and Musa ?

Your current seamers are useless apart from Abbas in tests and Shaheen in LOIs. That too, Abbas is too slow to be an all-condition seamer for any length of time.

One pacer you could have focused a bit more on is Usman Khan Shinwari. He is fast-medium ... can swing the ball ... and has a decent bouncer ... can take wickets if in rhythm.

Althogh the current Indian fast bowling attack is looking terrific in tests,  India too would be faced with a situation in the next 18 months when Ishant, Umesh and may be even Shami may become too old to sustain pace and intensity in test matches. And we would be left with only Bumrah.

We should prepare a couple of good young 140+ bowlers within this time ... and the ideal time for this is when we play weaker teams like Afghanistan, Bangladesh. SL and the WI.

Don't miss these chances to groom atleast 1 young quick bowler per match in these series mentioned above. And don't waste these opportunities picking the likes of Shardul Thakur who is neither accurate nor quick.

This foresight and pre-planning is very essential.

The SA pace attack is a good example of what I am saying above. Their attack looked great in the early and mid 2010s.

Steyn and Morkel fading or retiring was imminent in the mid 2010s decade. But SA did not groom any young and good 140+ pacer apart from Rabada.

They mistook Ngidi as a quick bowler just because he is a 6'5" guy. And Philander's inability to succeed on slow surfaces, while bowling medium pace, was somehow ignored.

Now their pace attack looks weak in Asia despite having a rich culture of fast bowling.

Their biggest nemesis is kolpak. They did groom Kyle Abbott and Duane Oliver who both did well but then defected to Kolpak. ICC must ban Kolpak system.

Oliver's bowling style was too tailored for bouncy pitches.

And Abbott is 32 now ... a medium pacer at that ... and missed out on a career due to Philander.

Abbott wasn't exactly a medium pacer. Would bowl high 130s to early 140s. Still remember Delhi test last time when he ran through our batting on a patta.

Yes, there are not many options for Misbah, even Abbass, being a medium pacer and no pace won;t be successful in Australia and won;t be around for long, considering his lack of fitness. In 2-3 years Pakistan's pace attack will be OK, not great.

He is playing test cricket so , age really does not matter. But they selected these inexperienced bowlers out neccesssity rather than talent.

Misbah knows first hand what useless bowlers Rahat Ali and others were on their last tour. They have no bowling options.
