Nope, way more side on from this angle

He has a mixed action. Lower body is side on but upper body is not. Bowling arm has a high release point that's why he got such bounce on that delivery. He seems to be hitting the seam more upright than Umran.

This thread is full of false hope for desperate fans.  After Siraj, there has been no real progress in test-level fast-bowler pipeline.  Siraj slogged it out in domestics for 2 more years than he should have, but luckily survived and became an asset.

Then, we've had Saini, Avesh, Prasidh, Porel, Tyagi, K. Sen, Umran Malik, etc. etc. but either due to injury or just lack of development/opportunity, none of them is knocking on the door.  This past year's domestics did not reveal any new viable fast-bowling talent.  Yes, there is Kaverappa and Rana, but their performances are nowhere as dominant and consistent as Siraj's before he was selected.

We are stuck with Umesh Yadav (who is a workhorse, but not a primary threat) to support Siraj and Shami.  Hopefully by the time Shami retires, one of these others or someone we haven't even noticed yet will emerge, but am not holding my breath.

Looked quite quick and bounce, someone measured him?

RCB staff does measure his speed. He posted one video with caption as 150k Yorker

Kuldeep Sen had 8 fer in the last Irani trophy match for Madhya Pradesh. He was picked but got injured. Now he is fit and must be picked for WI tour. In fact, Harshit Rana and Kuldeep both need to get picked in the next series we play.

Your post is a bit misleading.

Kuldeep Sen did not play in the March 2023 Irani match for MP.

In the Oct 2022 Irani match, he played for ROI vs Saurashtra and took 3+5 wkts.  Excellent performance, but not the same as an 8-fer (dominating).

But you are right.  If he is fit, he must debut in the XI in the Caribbean test series and given a long rope through both tests.

We need to look primarily for tall, hit the deck quicks.

Need atleast 1 tall seamer. Ishant was the reason that the Indian Test attack looked complete. Without him, the sameness is limiting this attack. All of them, Bumrah included, do not get anywhere near enough bounce and never have. All are short and skiddy and they have lost pace too. Were averaging 83 mph in the WTC.

Any tall seamer who is a trundler 120-125 kph will be preferred

Delicious speed with masala line and length, perfect raceeepee for disaster

And then our coach will defend him saying "lower your expectations...we still haven't lost to Zimbabwe at home. Bade Bade Cricketing countries me aisi choti choti losses hoti rehti hain. There is a freaking process and we're following that goddamn rulebook. Fast bowling leak runs.

Bumrah, due to his long arms and high arm action, gets more bounce than batters expect. He hits the bat high and hard.

Umesh and Shami have lost pace due to age but Siraj was quick. Expect Bumrah to bowl at full pace too when fit.

We need 2 more tall, hit the deck quicks to partner Bumrah and Siraj.

And as pacers are injury prone, we need to have s pool of 4 hit the deck quicks and choose 2 out of them.

My picks ....

Harshit

Sen

Prasidh

Tyagi. ( needs to play FC )

Pace doesn't look too high, even if I ignore what speedometer says he doesn't seem a 140+ bowler. Maybe 135-140, that's it.

How tall is he ?
