Nishant Saranu

in theory, he could be the Joel Garner to Mayank's Michael Holding.

now we just need to find a Malcolm Marshall before our Andy Raabarts Bumrah retires so they can have 2-3 years with him and learn all they can from him before he retires.

PS:
Saranu's debut FC figures : 12-2-46-2 & 7-0-29-0.  Not a bad debut, not amazing either, lets see how he shapes up. Hopefully he can be in the team in 3-4 years from now.
In fact i think *HE* should be coached the normal Indian 'line and length per focus karo, pace ko maro goli'  way, as with his crazy height, he can get crazy bounce and so long as he can hammer away good length and get the ball to rise 5 feet off of good length by the time it gets to the batsman, 130-135mph is gonna be sufficient to act as the bowler who chokes the runs dry in the team.

There are no successors to Bumrah at any level, currently. What a hole that will leave in a few years!

And there wont be one. Just like there was no successor to Ambrose or McGrath or Marshall. absolute best of the best top-10 bowlers of alltime have very rarely been replaced right away,if ever, by their team.  Hopefully he lasts another 6-7 years and gets to 400 wicket mark ( he will never get to 500 wicket mark unless he pulls a jimmy anderson and with his action, who knows, but unlikely).

because if Boom can get to 400, he can definitely truly insert himself in the best bowler of alltime conversation, given his average isnt likely to go past 21, even if he declines a bit. Man just has too many tools in his arsenal - still rapid pace, good bounce, all types of movement, control, awkward action- everything.

He might end up becoming Abey Kuruvilla.

That's how broken our domestic system is.

He is only 18-19. He is appreciably tall for an Indian so his body will take time before he becomes stronger. Can't make anything about him till he is 22-23.

Hope NCA and HCA keep working with Nishanth Saranu. Important to track his progress, work on his fitness and bowling skills. Morne Morkel felt that if he can increase his pace by a couple of yards he can be a handful in any condition

Nishanth Saranu saw some Smat highlights his action is not that strong the front arm drops too early, not sure how nobody in looking into it from BCCI side.

Porel has same issue these guys are coming from proper bcci cricketing system, played age group and all. Hardly get these kind of tall bowlers and the ones those you get are not fixed or helped immediately.

All in for unorthodox action which does not compromise on pace, sustainability and consistency, but  Saranu's action is weak.

Is there any news about Mohsin Khan? Haven't heard anything about him since IPL. Is he playing anywhere? He was one bowler who stood out in his first IPL before he got injured. Hasn't reached that form and level of fitness since then. He had a high ceiling.

How did he perform? And which IPL team is he with? Didn't follow him in IPL auction.

did get some wkts think (not 100%) his team reached the finals. He is tall and gets bounce is bound to get wkts of Ind domestic batters in t20 format.

Do not think his pace is up there yet .

He's one of the few bowlers who has a high ceiling. Hope he gets support from his IPL franchise and state association.
