They should have picked Girish Kumar Reddy from Andhra. He bowls 140+.

The theory (or at least working theory) is faster it comes faster it goes, these sub 130 kmph bowlers have higher chances of bowling eco. spells than 140+ kmph bowlers.

Hence more and more team are happily dropping any1 who gives some pace where edges/drives/flicks can go for 4/6.

 

Gurnnor was dropped from Puj, Sakib was dropped. Nagarkoti went for runs but was lucky that he had 1 good game to retain his place. 

 

Against certain teams and batters bowlers can get away with bowling full-tosses and even get wkt. 

 

And again T20 is not a format where new fast bowler can thrive and learn , 1/2 bad over can cost the team the entire game. As as new bowler they are already under pressure and then chances of losing the game fr the team ....

you misread the criterion..if you are 140..you are out of the team

Indians often gain height at a very late age, especially those who grow up on poor diet and get better diet from the late teens. Have seen many such cases. 

Indeed, I put on a couple of inches after turning 18-19. however, I am from an older generation where such growth spurts occurred relatively late because of the later onset of puberty compared to now
