In Shreyas Iyer India have the next Rohit Sharma

If Iyer is gonna perform at home and fail overseas, then what is the difference between the other talented players whom we overhyped as next big thing and Iyer? 

 

Literally all our batsman average 25-35 overseas, what makes them any better than Shreyas Iyer?

I am not sure about iyer. Iyer may do well in asia. Unless he magically fixes his issue vs short ball, he will struggle vs sena.

He has a wide range of sweep shots against spinners. Also wide range of reverse sweeps.

Wouldn't go that far. Maybe 5 more years at best. 

Besides we need to see him play bounce in australia and s.africa. 

How will he do vs nortje bowling 150 bouncers? I am not sold on this guy yet. 

At home? Yea sure. Even here he hasn't faced someone who can bowl 145-150.

Iyer will not play well in Eng, SA and NZ IMO. He can do well enough in SC and in WI, Oz (provided that pitches are not too spicy).
