If worse have achieved and you haven't and performance is the only objective measure, then how can they be worse than you?[/quote'] bangladesh & zimbabwe are both worse than ireland, still they have test status & ireland dont bangladesh only won 1 match against pakistan in 1999 wc & they got test status. no other achievement from them. they had a 1-5 record against even kenya at that time & they had also never beaten ireland as well before getting test status. even after getting test status, they were thrashed by canada in the 2003 wc. it was only around 2007 wc that their performances started to become somewhat respectable and after 1999, it took them 5 more years(in 2004) to beat another test-playing nation despite getting numerous matches zimbabwe are ranked 11 in the icc rankings, even below ireland. they were thrashed in all 4 matches against test teams in this wc, yet we see icc readmitting zimbabwe into test cricket & not giving ireland a chance at all ireland, have beaten pakistan, bangladesh & england in world cups. gave india & west indies a tough fight in the recent 2011 wc. even last year, they came very close to beating australia in an odi. they have also won 3 inter-continental cups in a row. ireland, have achieved far more than what bangladesh & zimbabwe achieved before getting test status and if someone is a ireland fan, it would obviously be very painful to see bangladesh & zimbabwe playing test cricket & not ireland. also, there is england who poaches irish players everytime. they have already poached eoin morgan. a few years back, they poached ed joyce before he became eligible earlier this year for ireland. so being a ireland fan would be very painful Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
