Shaheen shah afridi became world class within 2 years after debuting in last U19 WC. So yes it's possible, but in India we don't believe in giving extensive period of chances to talented youngsters.

Remember a name Haider Ali from 2020 under 19 WC, will probably be the first batsman to play international cricket .

He has the game for the longer format I believe. Seeing the current options, this could be where his route for the team might be available the earliest. If he performs that is.

He looked a fine stroke player but struggled badly against the short stuff from Sushant Mishra. I guess one of the BD openers will be the earliest.

Quite possible one of the BD opener. Jaiswal was the best in WC but considering tough competition in India, he might have to wait for few years.

One of the BD openers is being made to bat down at 6/7 in their domestic system also BD have a few openers lined up with tamim, liton, soumya, shadman, anamul, saif and naim all fighting for a spot.

if the BD openers can become middle order bats then they might have a better chance but they’ve still got to wait behind yasir Ali and mosaddek and whatever other weird selections the BD selectors might make.

not possible , may be after the WC once dhawan bhai retires, hard to compete with dhawan  bhai's icc experience.

dhawan may play 2027 WC too. his age will be similar to misbah when the latter retired.

Always liked him over DDP or Shaw. He is suited for longer format but can also shift gears and go in attacking mode as evident in IPL, also unlike DDP and Shaw doesn't seem to have any glaring weakness.

We will see some changes post ODI WC 2023 as the likes of Dhawan and Rohit might retire after that.

Can be the leader of batting line up. Very responsible  when needed.

Rohit

Dhawan

Gill

Shaw

Ruturaj

Kishan

These names are ahead in reckoning.

Shaw is nowhere in reckoning by the team management although I wish he was
