looks like this thread doesnt exist anymore . :icflove:

Once the blame on Kejri , tableeqi , Congress , left etc is over there is nothing more to discuss. Large part of India is ruled by BJP  governments and centre is BjP so there is no way any questions could be asked from Government.

I dont know about you .. In Karnataka (a BJP ruled state) generally around 1-2 articles in the front page of most news papers is on Covid-19.  What do you want ? Further lockdowns or constant cribbing on this thread ? You are free to do it

After 5 months, positive numbers don’t make sense. Let’s talk about recovery rates. Things people are adjusted to, like mandatory physical checks every 3 months, are no more mandatory. They say keep taking same regular meds and that’s it.  A lot positive cases are fake esp celebs who seemed to be negative in two weeks. No data on how people are dying, but one assurance for public is wear masks and keep away. Is it good for economy? How is Govt policies involved anymore? Scandinavian with no lockdown has a surge and countries believed in lockdown has a surge. So , it is a pandemic once in a lifetime we all have to deal with.

Just switch on any news channel barring few and see how much coverage they are giving to covid.from June onwards First it was China then vikas dubey and then Sushant's mystery . Barring few lines in bottom and nothing more. Ofcourse local media has to give more importance as they can't use these tactics.

Its clear regions with bigger urban agglomerations test more positives.

MH - Mumbai, TN - Chennai , DL - NCR , KA - Bangalore, Andhra, Telangana - Hyd/Secbad , WB - Cal , CH - Chandigarh whether they test more or less.

India set a world recored with 78,761  Covid cases per day.

Quote

As the global number of cases passes 25 million, India has set a new world record for the highest number of new infections reported in 24 hours.

The country, which is the world's second most populous with 1.3 billion people, reported 78,761 cases in one day.

It also reported 63,000 deaths from the virus since the pandemic began.

India has now recorded 3.5 million cases in total, behind Brazil and the US.

Officials say India's comparatively low rate of testing also means it is not capturing the full impact of the virus.

"Testing per million in India at 30,000 remains the second lowest in top 10 (virus-infected) countries. Mexico is lowest at about 10,000," virologist Shahid Jameel told AFP news agency.

A friend of mine was in ICU for a week in February, the doctors could not find what he had and told him it was some virus ..he had all the symptoms of COVID , like cough , high fever and face was paralysed and some in his family showed mild symptoms . Imagine neither the doctors or his family was taking any precautions back then . This was when India was yet to report a single case , so it’s possible we already had thousands of infections months before we got serious about this .
