whats the point of elections or democracy if idiots keep changing sides because they dont have enough power?

The whole point of democracy is that people like us can keep up the pretence of us having a say in how our nation; and at a micro level, how our lives are run.

I sometimes feel capitalism and modern democracy doest mix, when money and corporations have way more say in how politicians act than the voters are just deluding themselves

Why the cryptic aphorism?

Please tell us how.

Well I dont want to get pinned down now, do I ?

My guess. The transition towards BJP doesnt seem a clear one for Sachin. He will have to do it in milestones. Coming back to Congress is almost ruled out now. He will bide his time outside the govt giving hints of his independent party. Another break in Congress govt likely before next election, at which point he can align with BJP, either in the party or from their outside support.

Question is, what about Raje. Not exactly a favourite of the Sangh. For BJP, it makes more sense to not interfere at all in this mess and let it play out.

There are rumours that bjp is looking at pilot in jnk oweing to his links with abdullas...

The third front makes no sense for him. Meena in 2013 had got 10%. But it just meant bjp sweeping and he got no seats.

This patience argument congress likes to peddle is also bs. Gehlot was busy planting his son Vaibhav to succeed him. Pilot ensured Vaibhav lost in the ls. Relations have collapsed between them since. Same in Mp. Diggi Raja was planting his son to succeed Nath. Scindia would have waited and then would have been cast aside. Congress should have tried to bring him to centre via Rs quickly. It did not.

Issue is not old guard v youth. Its old guard trying to plant their heirs.

This Congress infighting also brings the Vasundhara problem to BJP. Without 5 years in power, BJP would have groomed alternative state leaders. Now, within 2 years, she gets back to life, and into the power-game. She has her loyalists group, so if it now comes to her vs Pilot, BJP would still have to agree with her.

In Rajasthan Drama, Case Against Union Minister, Rebel MLA; 1 Arrest

Quote

The Congress has also suspended Bhanwar Lal Sharma and another rebel MLA, Vishwendra Singh, claiming audio proof that they were involved in deal-making to dislodge the party's government.

It was a botched rebellion

Needed 30 mla..got 19

Gehlot will now plant his son Vaibhav in state. Pilot will have to hope that Congress forms gov in centre so that he can get a major cabinet role. Maybe curtains on his political career. Nobody in Cong will truly trust him.
