Point was they were pattas that even Kedar Jadhav scored on. 1 hour ago, Ankit_sharma03 said: which is why they arent ATG side but look around 85%surfaces are no patta which makes them very powerful in odi Then there's no "flashes" of Australia. Just a pure FTB team. 2 hours ago, Ankit_sharma03 said: Pandya was bowling to a diff batsman on diff pitch, yes his execution was better Pandya tried bowling different balls. Stokes didn't. Stop making this about execution. If Stokes couldn't execute his yorkers he should've tried something else. He didn't because he choked and so did England. 2 hours ago, Ankit_sharma03 said: Stokes was bowling to carlos who is tall and wud reach out to even that , check his innings against nz If Carlos still hit that, good on him, At least Stokes would've tried. Would be much better than bowling the same ball 4 times in a row hoping for a different result. 2 hours ago, Ankit_sharma03 said: thats not choking its lack of experience n struggling with dew You don't need to be experienced for it to be a choke. 2 hours ago, Ankit_sharma03 said: will u bowl that tall guy a short pitch or length yea good luck You know what you do when your bouncer isn't short enough for a taller guy? You bowl it shorter! Who knew, right? 2 hours ago, Ankit_sharma03 said: if u cant execute no plan will work So you don't plan at all? Stick to one plan repeatedly even when it hasn't worked? Lame excuse. It was a choke. 3 hours ago, Ankit_sharma03 said: stokes wasnt very exp...had 40 match odi exp not enough but that call lack of exp not choking You don't need 300 games experience to figure out that when something isn't working you try something else. 3 hours ago, Ankit_sharma03 said: so isnt that an individual falling under pressure then calling whole side a choker No, because no one in his side could think straight either and tell him to try something different. Would Pandya have bowled the bouncer against Bangladesh in the last ball if he wasn't told to? No. He was told to bowl that because it worked when Sreesanth bowled it against Pakistan in the tied game in the 2007 T20 World Cup group match. Frustrated 1 Link to comment

Real McCoy
That Aus side was something. Eng are good but they are not that good. What Eng lacks is fast bowling for all conditions, a spinner like Warne and batsmen who can also play a defensive role after a quick 2-3 wickets. For example, Ricky Ponting and Steve Waugh played a quiet 10 overs against a rampaging SA side in 1999 wc. After that they took on the middle overs and started attacking. There are no such batsmen in Eng apart from Stokes. He was the reason they won the world cup and that test vs Aus. Morgan, Buttler, Bairstow, Roy always attack when the chips are down which leads to collapses that Eng faced against WI and Pak. Aus team were much more verstaile, talented and ruthless. They didnt give any hopes for the opposition. Stan AF 1 Link to comment

Our bowlers would have been bundled out for 160-170 and australia would have rolled us over with 6 wickets to spare. SK_IH 1 Link to comment
aditya19
england has excellent bench strength and all rounders that are helping them. its a bit difficult to find good lower order bats and all rounders as they dont get much chances in domestic teams. Link to comment
