BK, Chahar, Bumrah, Saini should be our four T20 pacers. We need good bowlers, not just pacy bowlers, especially in T20s, we need variety.

Chahar is not used sufficiently at the death. His ER would most probably have been much higher if he bowled the death overs as much as other pacers. I find it difficult to compare his stats with other pacers for this reason. In our national team we usually play 2 pacers + 2 spinners + Hardik. This means both the pacers have to bowl at the death. If Chahar has to play T20Is for India then Dhoni should preferably give him death over bowling practice regularly. That would give a better idea where he stands. raki05 and Mosher

Atleast one can bank on him with the new ball ,others cant even do that properly .As @rkt.india said bumrah ,bk,saini and chahar are our top 4 t20 pacers. He can be in the squad but no way he is going to play alongside Bhuvi in playing xi,be it in India or Australia Maybe just play in India where wickets maybe a tad slower but in Aus almost no chance, Iam talking about world t20 speedheat, Mosher and express bowling

In my mind, we have only 2 good T20I pacers in Bumrah and Bhuvi. Both Saini and Chahar need to perform both upfront and at the death throughout this IPL and the next, to prove that they are good enough for the next WorldT20 late next year. Shami and Shardul are not good T20 bowlers and should not be picked for this format. ( Shardul should not be picked in any format ) As there are 2 IPLs left before the next World T20, some new pacers may come up too. We will probably be able to pick only 3 specialist pacers in the World T20 squad. First two will be Bumrah and Bhuvi, provided they are fit. If we pick Chahar as the 3rd pacer then 2 of the 3 would be medium paced swing bowlers. If Bumrah has a niggle in even a couple of crucial games then Bhuvi and Chahar as the 2 specialist seamers in the playing 11 would mean no pace in the attack at all. Saini's death bowling has been really good in this IPL so far. He needs to be given more overs upfront by Kohli. If Saini keeps performing in this IPL then he will be a more versatile 3rd pacer for our T20I squad after Bumrah and Bhuvi. We can even pair Bumrah and Saini in some T20Is to see how this combo works. And KKR need to give Prasidh a few games as Kohli had mentioned his name as one of the T20I prospects. The BCCI should look into this. Edited October 3, 2020 by express bowling Mosher and Suhaan
