Watched Freddie on Hotstar. The movie is dark - I mean literally dark! Low light persists through the entirety of the movie. Someone who has never been to India might get the impression that Bombay is a Seattle like cloudy place! Coming to the movie itself - it is a dark thriller, kind of. Kartik Aryan is pretty convincing as a shy, socially awkward Parsi dental doctor. Alaya, the female protagonist has done a convincing role as a battered wife looking for an escape. As the movie progresses, the story gets darker to the point of being a dark comedy, with the cunning genius of Freddy making his tormentors pay with interest. This movie had potential to be better but did just about an okay job.

3.5/5

HBO's The last of us...  Best game to series adaptation so far.

Pedro pascal is killing it.

Can't wait for Mandalorian S3 in March.

first, I agree with you and let me say it's an excellent series (esp with pedro the stud in it). with that said, it being the best video game adaptation is not amazing since the bar is rather low.

Oh boy this looks good for a Bollywood movie...  OTT release means they can afford to be more creative.

K Jo should take a leaf out of it & start working on Takht instead of giving up.

Doesn't look like a patch on Mughal-e-Azam, which released 60 years ago.

Taj has poorer actors, poorer dialogues and writing (from the trailer) and no memorable music.

You can't make a move featuring the Salim Anarkali doomed romance and not have that as the mainstay. The fight for succession is so secondary.

mughal-e-azam stacks up very well even to this day, as do some other movies like pakeezah.

Didn’t take you for an old geezer/Boomer who laments on lost glorified moments of life. This looks like a modern take on the tale with some twisted logic. Language looks too modern for Akbar  era, they should have inserted more Persian origin  words of Urdu instead it sounds too Hindustani zubaan. Ya, Anarkali doesn’t hold a candle to the erstwhile classic beauty of Madhubala , she looks more like an impoverished lingerie model. Hamare zamane mein to.. khair chodo

Mando is back with season 3...  But hearing stuff you gotta watch BoBF episode 5,6 to make a sense of it....

With Marvel already ruined Disney will ruin Star wars next.

Andor set the bar too high even for Mando.

@Vijy

Andor is better than Mando, but latter is still a watchable series. I think disney's SW offerings so far are not that bad. movies were trash though

bollywood standard is so low that this stupid movie is getting decent reviews

worst part of the movie is 30 minute conversation between ranbir and shraddha just before the climax

Who has seen Anubhav Sinha’s propaganda movies in theaters? Rrraajkumar is turning into another woke liberal arts star,

How come he dropped his muse - Tapsee?

Nobody wearing masks, Tablighis spitting on medical staff, Muslums stoning people who came down to give vaccines, MH and Delhi governments disowned migrants asked them to walk out. None of it, but just UP state showing power on migrant workers. Bas movie made.
