If you can tolerate the commercial cinema trope, give Ka a try. The climax is something that you have never seen ANYWHERE.

Amaran 8.5/10

 

Goosebumps inducing patriotic movie.

 

SK with his career best performance, Sai Pallavi national award loading. Production values top notch, lovely music, direction, shot on large scale. 

 

Major Mukund Vardarajan is an inspiration, and so is his wife Indu Rebecca Varghese. Bow before their feet for their selfless sacrifice for our motherland.

What a year for Tamil and Malayalam film industries. Cut above the rest, Bollywood has fallen way behind.

 

Watched all their best rated movies on big screen except Aavesham, Vaazhai, Lubber Pandhu.

But Big budget Tamil movies in this year are big flops .. indian 2 , goat , vettaiyan , kanguva etc

Among those, only Vettaiyan was watchable. 

 

Indian 2 I couldn't watch beyond 15 minutes on stream, looking at the trailer I dropped the idea of going to theatre. Shankar is finished, maybe earlier Sujatha hid his flaws well.

 

Kanguva is getting even worse reviews. 

 

Vijay movies I won't watch if I get paid.

we usually go to theatre for movies weekly once or twice  .. master , vikram , lubber pandhu ,ps 1/2 , level cross , kishkinta kandam are the movues she liked 

 

iranian movies are fecking sad , rarely we watch those in laptop

remake of the gladiator and nothign new in this movie ..

Overall action in it was sparingly used compared to Fury road but it was well done.  The first war rig scene was similar to old school Max Max...

 

Anya had a weak start definitely and almost felt she didn't arrive for at least a hour in to the movie.  Only weak point I found was first hour was kinda labourous.

 

Hemsworth stole the show hands down... Dude is so much more than his cheesy Marvel roles.   His best work since Rush.

George Miller pulled this off at 79:hatsoff:

 

Watched it on flight. Amazing action, sound was low for me with no captions available. But was impressed with action and screenplay. Has a feel of  lWater World, not as good as Fury. Climax was too good! The female lead doesn’t seem like a forced DEI hire shoved down to audiences

Gladiator 2, epic thrash fest, illogical (like sharks in colosseum), pisses on its predecessor. Ruined OG Gladiator as well for me, from Russel Crowe to this lukkha, nalla main lead :facepalm:Villains were so badly written, no backstory, nothing.....no emotion in this movie.

 

One of the worst viewing experiences of my life, definitely worst of 2024. Have to delete this from memory and rewatch the 2000 one.

You watch Putin videos and animal fight videos. :rolleyes:

 

Tum Jhooti main makkar is far better than either.

A woman lost her life to stampede after Allu Arjun visited the Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad unannounced due to poor crowd management and mindless frenzy from the fans.

 

These heroes in TFI will have zero regrets about this and will instead wear this as a badge of honour and repeat this again for their next movies.

 

I am waiting for the day these so called heroes die from stampedes for organising these mindless events.

Thanking swamy Balaji for granting me time and monies to watch 3 films in 3 days.

Lucky Bhasker didn't work for me. It was stretched and Dilquer is okay in parts, but rest of the characters are not impressive as the screenplay is pretty bad (watched Telugu original)  Most the extras bank workers/chawl people are caricutres - just frozen and standing watching the proceedings. They could have used SBI and Harshad Mehta's names as is.
