Haven't had the time to binge watch for a long time. Limit myself to a movie every fortnight, occasional reruns of some sitcom episodes. If you liked Rome then you would love Marco Polo as well. Only 2 seasons & cinematography will blow you away. Mongols were OTT lol. It was too grand for even Netflix. Gollum 1

This movie was good at the way Karti char was introduced after an hour, and both Arvind and Karti carried the movie forward . Songs from Kamalhassan added to the movie experience. It is a film that was appreciated by BOTH telugu and tammie media. Now that's an achievement. You are in a tiny minority.

If the answer is yes, to even one of these questions, then you have my utmost respect and your value on the ICF posters stock index shoots right up. coffee_rules and New guy 2

So for some strange reason I kept thinking of movie zinda while watching maharaja. Now in zinda john tells sanjay that he sold his daughter which wasn't the case. I kept wondering what if setupati took care of kashyaps daughter after getting him arrested.

That was what most people thought so too, somewhere midway I connected the dots. What liked the non-linear timeline and editing of these time lines were unique, almost like Memento. AK did a fantastic job albeit as an actor. jf1gp_1 1

The bald character in the middle? help @maniac @kepler37b He is apparently a great actor called Fahad Fasil. He has apparently done some outstanding work in Malayalam cinema ( not the kind that is the first thing that pops up in mind for our generation) I have seen him in 2-3 movies. As someone with great eye test for tailunt. Don’t get it. Lord and Mariyam 2

Vikram- he was adequate. I can think of 20 people who could have played the role and have the same impact. Super Deluxe- first film I saw of him where he played Samantha’s husband. He was again alright but wasn’t like he had some great performance. Vijay Sethupathi and the guy who played the cop stole the show. Pushpa 2 - he was extremely irritating. There is another movie I have been recommended- Avesham. However can’t get myself to watch it. That is 2 Telugu and 2 Tamil movies. what am I missing? Edited February 17 by maniac Mariyam 1
vvvslaxman Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Watched longlegs. Worth a watch. Psychological horror. Performances are good. Not revealing anything here.

Original Tamil was exceptionally well made. Better than the Italian version as Tamil had terrific music to go with. Mariyam 1

Do ppl think that families like the ones shown in the movie are still the majority or is this about trying to portray family life as the worst thing for today's women? That they can only truly be happy as career women having casual affairs and no marriage? What a horrible movie - all male chars are bad, with closed mind, esp the groom’s relatives. Waste of time. These days girls are open about what they want in life before marriage, even in arranged marriages. This kind of binary thinking is what is toxic in society. This is a remake of a stupid Mallu movie, certainly inspired by some 60s feminist Hollywood movie. There is no redeeming factor in this movie. bharathh 1

Haven't watched either of the two; zinda or maharaja. You will have to provide some context.
vvvslaxman Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Watching Don't let go. Interesting plot. A cop guys brother, sister in law, niece all get killed. Suddenly the cop gets a call from his niece (from 4 days back). Now the cop has to figure out a way to save her.
