Vikram- he was adequate. I can think of 20 people who could have played the role and have the same impact. Super Deluxe- first film I saw of him where he played Samantha’s husband. He was again alright but wasn’t like he had some great performance. Vijay Sethupathi and the guy who played the cop stole the show. Pushpa 2 - he was extremely irritating. There is another movie I have been recommended- Avesham. However can’t get myself to watch it. That is 2 Telugu and 2 Tamil movies. what am I missing? That's like judging irfan khan or nasuredin shah for their commercial hollywood movies. Do you think spiderman or league of extraordinary gentlemen were their best work? Even in commercial watch avesham to see how he is like a chameleon. Which actor does well in other languages movies anyways when they are known for their native language? Now in zinda john tells sanjay that he sold his daughter which wasn't the case. I kept wondering what if setupati took care of kashyaps daughter after getting him arrested. But from the movie it was obvious he never got him arrested? They never implied he got him arrested, kashyap just misunderstood as police arrived at the same time as maharaja

These days girls are open about what they want in life before marriage, even in arranged marriages. This kind of binary thinking is what is toxic in society. This is a remake of a stupid Mallu movie, certainly inspired by some 60s feminist Hollywood movie. There is no redeeming factor in this movie. Do you also complain about movies like john wick, taken etc where women are useless and luggage and men are the heroes and best? I don't understand when you guys know male oriented movie are just fantasy and wish fulfilment, why do you guys then write thesis on some random women targeted movie? Pathetic double standards which stem from sexism. It's the female version of wish fulfilling fantasy just like any male action movie like animal or john wick or Taken are targeted towards men. Not a direct comparison. I don't know of any movie where all women are shown as evil an torturous

They are escapist fiction made for entertainment. What kind of entertainment is Mrs for? Only masochists will get entertained by such atrocity porn movies. What did the director achieve by this story? Dog-whistle about how Indian families are living insensitive about common women issues like menstrual periods. Hindus will make women starve on Karwa chauth , make them cook tasty food while she is starving. And then the Bua comes and accuses her of eating food in private. This is porn for people who fantasize about misery. I appreciate women centric movies like Lapata ladies, etc where there are some real and balanced chars, unlike total psychos on one side. Lord 1

Mariyam Posted February 21 Posted February 21 @Lone Wolf Not trolling. I read the synopsis on IMDB. As a story it isn't even half as gripping as Johnny Gaddar, for example. Lone Wolf 1
bharathh Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Watched American Underdog - really loved the story. Movie was ok. Baby John (remake of Theri) was ok as well. Jackie Shroff made a good villain. First time I've not been irritated by him.
coffee_rules Posted February 25 Posted February 25 (edited) Dhoom Dhaam - is an ok watch. Usually like Yami, but here she is irritating, hammed her way and didn't come of well. It starts out well as a dark action comedy, but then they extend her character as a free-spirited, woke , feminist role justifying sleeping around before marriage, drinking alchol and gaalibaaz (not that there is anything wrong doing). Plus some secular elements and PETA promotion of Animals >>>>>> Humans etc. Avoid it , unless you like such content. Edited February 25 by coffee_rules
