:giggle:Yes in choking defo sachin over Thala

But I am using your own logic. You counted reaching last 4 and finals as something amazing.

So make up your mind and choose

1) is making last 4 and finals an achievement? Therefore Sachin > Thala

Or

2) is winning finals an achievement

Therefore Rohit > Thala

3 ICC trophies as Batsmen, WK and Captain  vs 1.5 ICC trophies Sachu

3 IPLs as Batsmen, WK and captain vs 1 IPL trophy Ailiaaaa

Thala has more Final appearances than Ailiaaa

Thala has reached every playoff till now

Hence proved

Thala is the real GOD not a fraud like Sachin

RCB is winning despite Rat and his tuk tuk. This is not a good sign for other teams. However, I am betting on collosal brainfart of Rat in playoffs. :dd::knuddel:

Rat and the rest if his team are having a free ride thanks to AB. Take him out and they are underwhelming. Even Padikkal has been playing the consolidation game of late. Finch is one wild card. If he plays well during the playoffs, it will be a big help.

Why does he feel the need tp publicly humiliate his team mates?

He did it with team India players so often...humiliate them in public instead of accepting responsibility.

Did he not learn anything  in the army? How to take responsibility as a leader .....instead he always blames others. Here he is blaming people who did not even get a chance to play.

Pathetic leader !!!

Besides what is the need to talk so much nonsense ?

Did any one ask ?

No...he just wants to pre-emp and answer questions that will be asked by people .

Leader my foot.

Pathetic egomaniac .

Below are two statements from Dhoni:

In principle, I agree with Dhoni:

  • 1st statement: The most optimized 11 for conditions and opposition should play. Now if a youngster is among the top/optimized 11, he should be in the playing 11 (not just because he is a youngster). These guys are professionals being paid a lot to win the cup for their team. There are various stakeholders involved too. IPL teams are not grooming schools where they play youngsters over an experienced player just because the player is young. The youngster needs to be equally good if not better to replace another player in the 11.
  • 2nd statement: If a team has no chances of making it to the playoff, it does not need to worry about optimizing its 11 and can experiment with trying new players including youngsters.

More apt discussion should be if CSK is playing an optimized 11 based on the merits of players (from both youngsters and experienced ones) in the squad. And if a talented player (youngster or experienced) is left out despite deserving a place in the 11. A statement like Team X should play youngsters (without identifying if youngsters merits a place in the 11 over those in being picked) is pointless esp. from the franchise's PoV.

No questioning Dhoni here. Clearly the worst set of young/backup players in this IPL among all the teams. Gaikwad, the most highly rated of the lot here, has looked like a deer in the headlights in whatever chances he has got. Jagadeeshan is decent but wont get a game for other teams...poor buys in the auction

I have been disappointed with Gaekwad. It's not about runs, he has terrible body language both while batting & fielding. If it's nerves, then he won't succeed much at this level with such attitude.

Blames his failures on bad luck :hysterical:

He made every excuses in the book today. What a fraud.

Rayudu got injured and the rest of the batsmen weren't turning up and we just kept putting pressure on the batting order. Whenever we did not get off to a good start it kept getting difficult for the middle order. In cricket when you are going through a tough phase, you need a bit of luck to go your way. But in this tournament it hasn't really gone our way. We haven't really won the toss, when we are batting second there hasn't been a lot of dew and when we are batting first all of a sudden there is a lot of dew on the field. So it hasn't gone our way and those are the things you study. Whenever you aren't doing well there can be a hundred reasons. One of the main things you ask yourself is whether you are playing to your potential. When you put out a playing eleven and judge whether they have done well to justify their stats on paper on the field, I feel this year we have not done that.
