Kishan should have got picked at least in T20Is. Since rohit is injured could have opened and keeper too. Also Is a left hander so another advantage.

Jadeja's issue is form and perhaps a player passed its peak. Players like him can be pardoned. But Pant's issue is fitness and that cant be excused. Have you seen him IPL? Dude looking like an unfit food blogger.

My comments-

 

on T20 squad- Varun chakravarthy seems to have broken the doors and beaten rahul chahar so a well deserved selection. Kudos to selectors. Sanju samson is also a great selection. Sundar also crashed the doors and got himself selected.  Kinda a Perfect Team not even one wrong selection. Manish Pandey is also good enough , SKY missed.

 

ON ODI- why did they not pick Sanju Samson? Why not Prasidh Krishna ?? KL Rahul is the only wicket Keeper in ODI's against Australia where  4 pacers may play for India. Is Hardik going to Bowl ?? If yes then it is great news but if he is not going to bowl then Shivam Dubey should have been selected as He at least bowls and Bats. Hardik just as a batsman should not have been picked  in ODI's , He is a good batsman but at 6 or 7 , we need an allrounder and Shivam also bats well. 

 

Test Team-  Nothing wrong. 

 

Rohit and Ishant are injured and it seems they will miss the tour...it is the right decision, Let them recover. Nagarkoti is back up pacer is a good decision.

 

Major Issues- Prasidh not selected even as a Practice Pace bowler?? Natarajan( he is also under 140K) and Ishan Porel( medium Pacer under 140K ) are definitely not International class fast bowlers.

I don't understand why Prasidh is being ignored.

 

Prasidh should have been in the ODI squad itself  ... his pace and bounce would have been an asset in Australia.

Jadeja has been pathetic for years in t20s,you don't need research to kick him out of this format once it for all

I have backed Pant to no end but i have been singling out his obesity since the start of IPL

But, selectors need to show their spine to other downhill guys

Varun C is Tamil, probably an Iyengar like freedom fighter Rajagopalachari. I know Bongs keep Chakraborty title but so do others.

Yes, instead of Manish Pandey. Even if Samson is picked, they could have included Kishan too.
