my fatty Rohit thread was prophetic. you cant except to carry so much weight and not get injured,hope he takes fitness seriously because we are going to miss him in the LOI series.the test squad seems fine and most of them pick themselves.

Rarely I agree with him but he is absolutely right. KL has done nothing in red ball format since his exit from test squad, picking test players based on IPL tamasha is unacceptable. Big fan of KL but have got to be fair, he didn't deserve this recall.

A better backup than any other with experience. IMO, Shaw should open with Mayank in Rohit’s absence, but given KL’s  recent boost in stature from WC, IPL and if there is an absence of Rohit, he will feature in red-ball over Shaw/Gill, as Shaw also has not shown any confidence in IPL or Redball. Who else would you select to partner Mayank in red-ball? If RS gets fit before that, he will certainly play ahead of KL. Last time, we got hurt with no backup when Rohit got injured in NZ.

In defence of Rahul, there has hardly been any red ball cricket to show that he has improved... Just like Rohit was selected based on his white ball form, team mgmt doesnt want to let go of KLR from test arena.

Manju should also talk abot thakurain....what he ever did to warrant a place in indian team. Atleast klr is loi success, what about thakurain and what about Bahane. Manju never talks about Bahane and Thakurain.

• Selection of Mayank he earned it

 

 

Negatives

 

• Keeping jadeja in t20, how many more years till they take to understand that jadeja has no idea how to play t20s.....seriously him over Axar n Krunal . 
• No Ravi ashwin in LOI.....again very poor 
• Shaw was selected in last odi series and mayank was dropped now its opposite , they need to be consistent with one of them 
• thakur in ODI's 
• Umesh yadav ...when are we getting rid of him in away test 
• Where is SKY ?
• Our t20 squad is filled with players having avg t20 S/r - Dhawan, manish, iyer, jadeja

The T20 team is beyond garbage and highlights why we won't win the WC. So many accumulators and only one big hitter in Pandya. Pathetic. Ideally it should have been something like this

 

Rahul, Rohit, Kohli, Pant, Samson, Pandya - the bowling line up.

 

3 accumulators and 3 hitters. They still play t20 like ODIs. Morons.
