Since you draw parallels with Bollywood, it is an 'aam Hindustani' and not Mr.India who finishes off Mogambo and his evil designs. Cricket boards the world over try to refrain from playing international cricket during the IPL period so players can take part in it. Apart from the T20 WC, IPL is the biggest T20 tournament at the moment in the world

More from Indian press https://indianexpress.com/article/sports/cricket/india-team-physio-wants-2-3-weeks-rest-for-rohit-sharma-6906096/ India team physio wants 2-3 weeks’ rest for Rohit Sharma Quote A day before they selected the team for the tour of Australia, it is learnt that the selectors were informed by Indian team physiotherapist Nitin Patel that Rohit Sharma will not be available for selection. Patel submitted a detailed medical report. When BCCI announced the Indian squad, a footnote stated that the medical team will monitor the progress made by Rohit and Ishant Sharma. However, the Indian board and selectors were surprised when Mumbai Indians tweeted out pictures of Rohit batting at nets hours after the team was announced. The selection committee was under the impression that Rohit will miss IPL games in order to get fit for the Australia tour. The Indian team is scheduled to play its first game in Australia on November 27. It remains to be seen if Rohit will take any further part in the IPL. Patel had consulted two other specialist doctors on Rohit’s injury and both advised rest for three more weeks, sources in the board said. A medical report was submitted to the selection panel headed by former India spinner Sunil Joshi. The five-member committee went by Patel’s expert advice and didn’t name Rohit in the squad Quote “Patel had submitted a detailed fitness report of every player. It’s a normal procedure where the Indian team physio informs the board and selection committee about which player is fit and which player is not. The selectors were informed that Rohit will not be available for selection due to injury. He even submitted two expert doctors’ advice who both said Rohit needs rest for two to three weeks,” a BCCI official said Sunil Joshi , the former spinner from Karnataka is heading the selection panel names KLR as VC for LOIs and also recalls him to the test squad. By 2023 wc he will be 35 so it makes sense then if he doesn't want to participate. coffee_rules

coffee_rules
Clearly, BCCI has false information about Rohit’s match fitness, if he can play IPL, hecan as well play in T20s in Aus. This is on Kh0li totally. Professional jealousy, khundak for not winning IPL or any major ICC event. vishalvirsingh

It's a serious chronic issue for him. maniac
People will realize Rohit’s value as both a player and more importantly as a leader in finals and other knock out situations. That’s what separate the men from the boys. There is a reason why even anti-MSDians like me, @Laaloo @raki05 etc will prefer relatively speaking Dhoni over Kohli in a knockout like situation when it comes to leadership. Only leadership though, Kohli will get a 0(4) and Dhoni will get a 55(185) with the bat anyways

Atleast kohli has notable performances in t20i knockouts and ct final 13, rohit is a total flop in knockouts.
