So yes we are pathetic, even BJP when in power with huge mandate finds it difficult to shed the PC tag/standard, and they are our only hope. Lethargy, complacency, cowardice, 5D chess etc so many possible reasons but fact remains that ecosystem is still controlled by people who owe their careers to Congress/Left. Look at our institutions, look at media, top cops, IAS officers, milords, have they changed that much since UPA days? It may take a long time for those people to be phased out. Forget all others and just focus on bureaucracy, unlike USA we don't have spoils system. In a way good but not helping us atm. Even if Modi wants fast change in some areas are there people capable and committed enough to implement? Watch Gadkari's speech from 2 days back. Moreover our babus have so much inertia, want things to continue the way they are, any deviation from usual ways and they resist, opposition/media too put pressure back on govt. Weapon from a nearby mosque and a maulvi involved as well, communal tension obviously. But this isn't communal murder, this isn't intolerance, no 1 crore compensation by secular state to the victim's family (only cattle and bike thieves get that honour), no WaPo article, basically only Hindus are the aggressors, all Muslims are tolerant/peaceful.....
