Mumbai Indians Top the table for the 4th time in IPL history. No other team has managed it more than twice.

We play SRH on the 3rd of November. A game that doesn't mean anything to us and means the world to SRH.

Then on the 5th of November we play the eliminator 1. And we travel to a different city for the Eliminator.

Would make sense to field a totally experimental outfit for the SRH game.

Getting Rohit was the key. Not sure why DC let him go.

They were struggling with captains - Sachin, Harbhajan, Ponting... None of them could match what Rohit has been able to do

Absolutely.

He's been a lynchpin for the team. His demeanor is absolutely fantastic. Doesn't do any antics(unlike a certain you know who) and always delivers even under the intense of situations. He led us through 3 low scoring finals and delivered in all three. I for one surely thought MI would lose in 2017 final. Scored a 50 at 200 strike rate in the 2015 final.

Put his own batting in jeopardy to accommodate the team composition , dropped himself to #4 for quite a few years when his batting is suited to #1.

Who knows Pollard could've been captain with 5 trophies under his belt

Both Rohit & Pollu are great T20 captains. However when Rohit captains, he can be on and off in his batting (he only charges up in the final stages of IPL, owing to his lazy ness) where as Pollu is fully committed every time he’s captaining...

Rohit is under rated. Sometimes the best captains are those who dont over think and do basics right. Kohli has made some huge blunders even this IPL and suddenly from winning piston his team is in danger of elimination

The two times mumbai lost were season openers. Apart from that Mumbai have defeated CSK in all stage including qualifiers and finals

tell me what the record was when the mighty mumbai midget captained

While important, the role of a captain in T20 is kind of over rated on this website. We definitely need Rohit Sharma back into the thick of things and replace Tiwari.

Clearly shows that bambis improved their H2H record vs the aging csk team :giggle:

MI generally wins regardless of who is coach, they change that position all the time, and even who is captain, they haven't missed a beat with Rohit out and Pollard captaining. It's time for people to give credit to the real brains behind the machine: Nitaben :hail:Put her in charge of the Indian team :hatsoff:

Agreed, if BCCI had any brains they would give Nita a role in the India team
