Sore arms, mild muscle pain, low-grade fever - none of these being infectious to other people - I'll take it.  Another side-effect that no one talks about - long, happy life.

Guy with red umbrella below is your friendly neighborhood anti-vaxxer.  Pay him no heed.

Should I pay heed to my friendly billionaire vaccine provider who also happens to be a depopulation champion and comes from a family with a history of supporting Eugenics/Planned Parenthood programs?

That is not a legitimate worry, but I tell you what is.

Neither Pfizer's nor Moderna's results have been verified yet by independent peer-review or VRBPAC analysis.  Until that happens, I am skeptical, while being cautiously optimistic.  Yeah sure, they did a 40-60K strong Phase III clinical trial, but so far the only people who have seen their results are themselves.

While these circumstances are unique, science is not done by corporate press release.  It is done by rigorous analysis by independent scientists.  Let's wait for that to happen.

Equating that image with the plandemic is illogical. The argument from the image is that other people taking the shot would protect the one who didn't take it. You think taking the vax would promote "herd immunity". Actual immunity is developed by exposing yourselves to the "virus" naturally not artificially. Lets take the simple example of common cold. If a new born baby has acquired it from its parents/relatives, it means it is now immune to common cold. That is why it is known as "common" cold. A more complex example is chicken pox. Once somebody gets chicken pox, that person won't get it again.

The same is true for all kinds of flu. sars flu, mers is all part of coronavirus. When people found out about it, they changed the name to covid and said its a different strain. only humans fear a flu because we have a mind and are susceptible to suggestion from the govts in charge. Once you lose the fear factor, you are immune to this mind flu called covid. This image is more propaganda for you to take the shot.

We are not even talking about the red umbrella guy who you assume as a hypocritical person who says dont take the vax while he is taking it. Again illogical. The term "herd immunity" itself is equating humans to cattle. This shows the mindset of the elite. Some past US president said "If you want safety at the cost of your liberty, you deserve neither"

If disease doesn't exist then how are so many people dying and admitted in ICU?

For other reasons such as heart attacks, cancer, etc. Most doctors have shut down their practices as general or specialist physicians and started their own corona center for money. Its rare to find doctors for some ailments like ortho, neuro, diabetes, bp, low pulse, etc.

Bharat Biotech's vaccine Covaxin, developed in collaboration with the National Instt of Virology Pune, is likely to be ready as early as February!  If this pans out, this is great news for India - an indigenous vaccine developed and manufactured in-house and tested on Indian populations.

This is the same vaccine that GOI and ICMR wanted on Aug 15 to meet an arbitrary political deadline.  Thank goodness, they did not push hard to meet that impossible deadline, but did what had to be done to complete clinical trials.  They have commenced Phase III trials after promising results in Phase I and II.  Their platform uses a conventional protein-based, time-tested technology and will be less of a logistical nightmare than the RNA vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna.

Diabetes and obesity killed far more Americans in 2020 than they did in 2015-2019.  I have spent the last 30 minutes racking my brain as to what the reason for that might be.  The same conditions that caused x number of deaths per week in 2015-19 are now causing >1.25x number of deaths.  I just can't figure out why.  Any thoughts or hypotheses?

This article is perfect for people who hate both vaccines and GMOs:

Vaccines produced by GMO plants are in Phase II clinical trials.

Pehle vaccine aapko sterilize karega, phir GMO aapko dheere dheere .... assi saal tadpaa tadpaake ... marvaayega.

Medicago, the Canadian company that develops a vaccine against COVID-19 by obtaining recombinant antigens in transgenic tobacco, has just announced Phase II and III clinical trials in partnership with GSK. The last phase would take place at the end of the year with 30,000 volunteers in North America, Latin America and Europe.

Medicago / November 12, 2020 .- Medicago, a biopharmaceutical company based in Quebec City, Canada, and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) announced the start of phase 2 and 3 clinical trials of their candidate vaccine (derived from plants ) for COVID-19 with the aim of evaluating its efficacy, safety and immunogenicity. Based on the positive Phase 1 results and approval from the Canadian regulatory authorities, Medicago has decided to launch the Phase 2/3 clinical trial with GSK's pandemic adjuvant.

“Our results from the Phase 1 of the vaccine candidate with an adjuvant were very encouraging and fully support the further clinical evaluation, ”said Nathalie Landry, executive vice president, Medical and Scientific Affairs, Medicago.

Astra Zeneca's vaccine is now out.

https://www.vox.com/21590994/oxford-vaccine-results-covid-19-astrazeneca-trial-pfizer-moderna

A few points:

- 70% effectiveness in Phase III clinical.  One sub-group showed 90% effectiveness.

- Does not need cold storage.

- They are providing it at-cost ($3 per dose)

- Like Pfizer and Moderna, this one needs booster dose too.

Folks, this is no miracle.  It is directly attributable to tremendous advances in biomedicine and bioinformatics over the past 15 years.  Things that were unimaginably difficult and cumbersome when I was in grad school in the 1990s are routine today.  Things that took me 6 months to do can be done in a week by my students today.  I used to isolate a gene, send it off to be sequenced and wait for 2 weeks for results.   Today, my students isolate the gene, fill out an online form, the guy comes over in 2 hours, takes the sample and sends the sequence data the next morning.  Heck, we can sequence entire genomes in a matter of days.

All of this has culminated in rapid vaccine development.  In a year, we have 3 viable candidates and many more along the way.

I am, of course, still a bit skeptical and cautious until all of this is reviewed by peer scientists, but where we are today was unimaginable even 25 years ago.

Those of you in the IT world, here's an analogy - this is the difference between vacuum tubes vs. what we have today in computing power.
