Ranvir
The most technically gifted player of all time, the only other player who came close to his skills was Ronaldinho. I'm not shocked by his death though, he boozed, did drugs and was overweight. It was only a matter of time. In fact it's a miracle he made it to 60, he was close to death in his 40s. Still, what a life he lived!

The Realist
A true legend. His time at Napoli was miraculous - took a club that had won nothing to European and domestic success. Then took an average Argentina team and dragged them to a WC win. Very sad to lose him now when he seemed to be over his health problems. RIP. A small club Verona won Serie A in 1985, so it wasn't out of the ordinary Napoli winning in 1987. Also, remember that Napoli paid a World record fee to sign him so they weren't a bunch of paupers, they also made some other good signings in the 80s. As for his 1986 Argentina teammates being average that is also exaggerated. They had one of the best defensive records in the tournament. They may not have been household names because a lot of them played in Argentina and there simply wasn't that much media exposure in those days. Maradona hardly did anything in the 1990 World Cup but still the team got to the final. You also have to remember that immediately after he left Barcelona they won the La Liga title, something which they hadn't done for over a decade. Would Napoli and Argentina won those titles without him? Definitely not. But would he have won those titles if he was playing for Pisa and Paraguay? mishra
For me he is greatest Football player world will ever see. Football is a team sport but if situation needed, and some luck, he singlehandedly beat a whole team. IWe dont know what future holds but in this instance I can safely say that never ever world will see such a player.
