Aussies are undercooked and easily beatable

After the first 2 odis, I thought this is going to be a repeat of 1999-2000 or 2011-2012 but the way our players fought in the T20 series and the final Odi and watching Aussie bench strength in the warmups, Aussies look undercooked.

Starc looks average and Cummins too is not at his best. Lyon and Hazelwood are threats but nothing earth shattering.

Warner is out and Smith seems to have injury issues. Labuschagne is talented but he is not in the league of Rahul,Gill.

The way Aussies have been getting concussed, our bowling may be too hot to handle and above all its a disgrace to lose to a team that has Tim Paine as the captain.

We are overrating them. In fact they are more vulnerable than they were in 2018.

As our coach would say all the time as the only thing he knows about coaching

“Let’s smaaash them boys”

Labuschagne has played more vital test innings than Rahul in his brief career. Unless he shows he is one year wonder, he is far superior test player than Rahul ever was at any point in his career.Gill might be good but it is too early to make a call on him.Aussies are not all overrated.

I am only concerned about toss nothing else. In last 6 years India has not lost a single overseas test match after winning toss ..unbelievable.. all lost test matches 4 to England ( 4-1), 2 to South Africa ( 2-1), 1 to Aus ( 1-2) , 2 to NZ (2-0) ie 9 tests India lost in SENA .. every one of them they lost the toss.. and all the 4 tests they won plus 1 Sydney Draw they won the toss.. speaks volumes of our bad luck in tosses...the last time India lost winning the toss was in Brisbane in 2014 where they lost out due to dhawans stupid injury in nets and before that I guess the Durban test where they were bloody 198/1 and somehow lost the match. So win toss win test..

In the first test, the only difference between the Aussie team we beat last time and the team this time is Steve Smith. Let's not make a mountain out of a rookie like Labu.

This Australian team can get intimidated. We saw it last time in the test series and in the T20I series this time too. Even in the practice matches, they were trembling before our bouncer barrages.

We need to come hard at them.  Bowl bouncer barrages, in phases, right from the first test and intimidate them. Last time we sent 3 Aussies for hospital visits after getting hit. Let those memories come back.

Our pacers outbowled this same group of Aussie pacers last time. We should remember this.

We can win this test series if we are aggressive mentally

Last time was two years ago. We had Ishant instead of Umesh. We still lost one test to that putrid team.Don't underestimate Labuschagne, yes they can be intimidated but that intimidation should come from performances on the field than verbal.Bumrah still is the key if he does well then we should be in the matches.

Last time we would have won 3-1 if the last test was not affected by rain.

Yes, Ishant was a plus last time but, at this time, we should think positively and try to put pressure on the opposition by aggressive performances.

Yes we would have won 3-1 but still we lost one test.To put pressure we need our batsmen to deliver and give bowlers a chance to stay in the matches. I would have forgotten series losses in SA and England , if they had won in NZ but that was shameful performance by Kohli and co.

All morons including Shastri and Kohli seem to have forgotten those shameful performances. This team still has no identity in batting.

no shame in losing a one off test to Australia in Australia. Has any team clean swept them before including WI of the 80’s or SA in 90’s and 2000’s?

We would've lost the series as well..  If Mayank had not played at MCG.  He actually tackled Lyon & survived the new ball burst.  He was the game changer.

The game we lost also saw Finch & Harris put on a big 1st wicket stand.  So change in openers did the trick.

Yes he was very impressive against Lyon. That is why he has to play this series even though Aussies will have a book on him.

. With Virat leaving it might help as well. Our boys are not troublemakers and having a captain who sticks to basics and is more approachable be it Rahane or Rohit, this team may gel well and not get concerned about the chopping and changing under VK.

Overall I am getting good vibes

:--D little scared to tag him but chalo good day to tag him, hope he has taken the stick out of his “hands” and can understand this is in a lighter vein  @sandeep
