I predicted both tosses correctly in the first two games so i'm gonna go India wins the toss and of course bats first.

Most of you are saying we'll lose overs due to weather so keeping that in mind...

India 184/4

50 for Rahane

Gill to fail :((

Rohit to get out in the 30s.

Australia to win toss and bat first. Warner will be off to a cracking start. Ashwin to come and pick his wicket. Labu to score some useless 40 runs, Smith to fail again. Australia to be all out for 220. India 10/1 at the end of day 1. Gill to be out and Bumrah to accompany Rohit at the end of day's play as night watchman.

Despite the 36 fiasco must say Aussie fans (whether on FB/twitter or the footy forum) respect this Indian team. Last team to get this level of respect over there was Smith's RSA which had several ATGs at the peak of their powers. We have them genuinely worried, a feeing they aren't used to playing at home. They were legit celebrating when it was confirmed MCG wouldn't host the 3rd test....imagine them hesitant to face us in their most iconic sports venue.

Man I don't back our batsman to rack up even 350..  Happy to be proven wrong.  Aussie bowlers are coming after a 8-9 days rest so they'll be  charged up.  Last time we posed 600+ was when Aussies had toiled hard before MCG & were physically drained.

SCG is a patta but so was MCG supposed to be.  Safe to say if we score 400 we will win hands down

traditionally our batsman have always dominated in SCG.. Sachin has 3 100s there, Ravi shastri has a double ton, last time even Pant scored a ton. Even Ashwin has two 50s here

Unless they really doctor the pitch to suit seamers, its going to be a good pitch to bat.. Australia would want their batsmen to come into form before the Gabba match. It will be flat and if we win the toss, expect us to reach 500.. even if Rohit/Puji/Rahane fail, jaddu and vihari can get us there

Any pictures of the wicket? :dontknow:

Boria said brown pitch, dry grass, flat wicket with turn expected on days 4/5.

Has been raining cats and dogs in Sydney for many days, December was one of their wettest months ever, if conditions are overcast in the morning guess both captains will prefer to lose the toss.

SCG in general sees wonderful batting conditions on days 2 and 3. Even if we have to bowl first I think we can put serious pressure on them considering their misfiring batting unit. Aus in a real dilemma here, as good as Lyon is the combo of Ash-Jaddu in 4th innings is different level scary for even the best batsmen.

Last 2 matches the teams winning toss lost quite tamely in the end. General mantra is win toss bat first at SCG, but both batting units capable of going 4 down by end of 1st session and stop-start-stop passages courtesy rain always harm the batting side.
