kubrickian
The tail has sort of a distinct advantage, in that bowlers will usually be quite tired after bowling to the top order and ball would have got old and wicket also would have dried out. So its usually easier to bat sometimes lower down the order in SENA than the top order. In India, its the reverse. Link to comment
ShoonyaSifar
It's that fine balance. Our bowlers have been brilliant over the last 3-4 years and have outperformed all other teams on an average by 4-5 points and in the batting charts they are down by 5-6 points compared to others. While runs from the tail will be bonus, picking 20 wickets should be the priority. Link to comment
afan
The Aussie tail has a better technique because they are exposed to quality bowling I guess in the nets. I dont know if the Indian tail-enders ever get a good hit in the nets, especially when they are touring or otherwise. An issue which needs to be addressed by the team bosses Link to comment
Khota
Let us talk about the tail I am very impressed with them and they have done their job. They are taking wkts and destroying Australia. What more can I ask for. Good job Ashwin. Jadeja, Yadav, Bumrah and Siraj and Shami. Final Grade : A+ Link to comment
Stan AF
There should be another thread about how this bowling unit always allows tail enders to get away with the match.99/6 to 192/9. Allowing tail to bat an entire session is criminal Link to comment

Cummins, Starc and even Lyon to a certain extent in Australia and even tail in SA, Eng are pretty handy batters who can all contribute. The problem is because Indian tail folds very quickly, we expect the same to happen to other sides especially Aus, Eng, NZ, SA Yes game has changed a lot. Bowlers these days bat out sessions now to save game on last day. And they do often too. Most tails do fine at home. Ours score also from time to time. Link to comment
Gollum
Today don't think about all this stuff. Rejoice India's finest test victory till date, at least for this one day let us not speak negatively about any Indian cricketer. SK_IH 1 Link to comment

Serpico
They don't even have to learn to bat, just learn how to get out of the line of the ball and leave it if it's missing the stumps. Is that too much to ask from professional cricketers Link to comment
Serpico
Also wear the fcking arm guards. Kuldeep walked in without wearing any, today. Why would management not force him to wear after what happened to shami Link to comment
