As if Kohli is fielding epitome...he has given an opinion it has nothing to do with his cricketing abilities. While he agreed that it's Kohli's  personal decision and he respect tha but as a leader Doshi would have stayed back and I think there is nothing wrong in it.

The broader point is that former players conveniently forget their own issues when they critique other players. And in terms of work ethic, Kohli would be miles ahead of most players, incl. Dilip Doshi. He has constantly worked on improving  his fitness, batting/ fielding etc. Never saw that with Doshi. He was a decent player who did not really add to his game. So, maybe Doshi spent too much time with his family instead of working on his “national duty”. See, how easy it is to take pot shots about someone else’s priorities?

First of all Doshi was not batsmen second le me break the myth that Kohli has worked on his cricket. So much for his commitment for fitness that he has the higest number of drop can catches in present Indian players even lethargic Indian players like Ashwin hardly drops a catch he dropped catches in every match now a days that too a simple dolly. He isn't improved a single bit on his bowling being a leader he dint work on his bowling while he could have played a role of part timer he hadn't worked on his bowling a single bit since he initially came in and he simply stopped bowling part timer. Besides it's not about who is greater cricketer, point is how comitted you are when your team really needs it especially when you are captain and best player of the team.  Outside wc ,Aus and eng test tours are highly prestigious and competitive and even drawing their worth in gold. So the way you are respecting Kohli decision you should also respect Doshi's  opinion when he says, had he been captain of the team he would have stayed back and he is not criticizing Kohli by saying that. No need to drag his cricketing abilities or else only Tendulkar, Gavaskar can share their opinion on anything related to cricket.
