Prabhsimran so far in the series with scores of 89(52) vs Karnataka, 43(41) vs UP, and now 63(39) against Railways.

Anmolpreet has been a letdown after the initial promise shown in the u19 WC and the first season or so in first class but has gone downhill since then even with his fitness.

Good to see Abhishek opening the innings.

Abhishek was also opening last yr as well. Thats the best spot for him, SRH can utilize him best at opening

Its good that he devlops and improves as a batsman but can't understand why they completely ignore their bowling ability at times like these when they start with it at serious level(u19 cricket)

Indian team desperately needs someone at the top order who can atlest give 4-5 overs

Hope JnK make it to the next stage. We hardly get to see them play live if ever.

Bowling is definitely potent for T20 at least..  Let's see how they shape up.  J&K needs cricketing infrastructure.  Stories are always there about unknown guys bowling Fast in the fields of Kishtwar or Bhaderwah.  JKCA is most corrupt cricket Association in whole country for sometime.

On a different note: Manisankar Murasingh scored 61(33) against Karnataka. This is more the kind of innings people in the know have come to expect from Murasingh. Add to that a fairly economical 4 overs for 1/27 in bowling, and you can see why he is worth his weight in gold as a complete package. Unfortunately, he is from Tripura, so he is unlikely to be picked up in the IPL ... so hoping to see more of the stuff we know he is capable in the SMA Trophy, hopefully on video. Also, it's a shame zonal competitions are out of favour these days, they are tailor-made for the likes of Murasingh to show their stuff on a somewhat bigger stage.

Tripura -- thanks to all-round efforts of Manisankar Murasingh and some tight bowling from Sankar Paul and Udiyan Bose (why was Bose not bowled more of his quota? injury??), finish only 10 runs (i.e., roughly one top-edged six and one inside-edged four) short of mighty Karnataka's score of 167. Also noteworthy a valiant 44(29) by Rajat Dey. Again, it's a pity there is a strong bias in terms of IPL scouting against East Zone sides which means we will probably never get to see any of them on a bigger stage (and probably rarely on video in any case) ... :wall:
