They could have played played only Kuldeep and 4 trundlers. They might as well have asked Pandya to stay even if he didn't bowl. This attack is a sham for test cricket. Link to comment

When kohli is captain he doesnt show faith , now rahane. In kkr when dk was captain no faith in him, after morgan cam story was same. This ye coach was baz , last yr i think it was kallis or katich none showed faith . Reality is he hasnt been the same bowler after moeen ali gave him whacking. Even the games he bowled in IPL his bowling was toothless. At this point its best for him that he plays domestic n get some wkts. If 4 trundlers n kuldeep plays batting becomes light , if hardik plays and doesnt bowl bowling becomes light. 5 bowling options are must in test now overseas. Link to comment

We saw how much it helped Pujara and it can help others get used to the conditions! Real McCoy Posted January 15, 2021 Share Posted January 15, 2021 My opinion is that TM doesnt want Kuldeep to be exposed to another freak injury that keeps happening in this cursed tour and preserve him for the Eng series at home. Also we don't know when Ashwin and Jadeja will make it back. So Kuldeep may end up being the no.1 spinner in the first test. Chennai is naturally a spinning wicket. We should have at the very least have 2 good spinners. I guess nadeem can be that spinner with sundar being the 3rd option if we want to play 3 spnners. Link to comment
