It is absolutely meaningful in this context. If you didn't read the thread title, it was "can they win", not "will they win". By voting no, you're saying that you didn't even believe that we "could" win.

Like I already said, why would I vote on my own poll? As if I don't know what I myself think. The poll was to know what others think of our chances.

 

I wouldn't even make the poll if I didn't think India could win. Anyway, I said that we could win if Rohit Sharma scored at a good clip without us losing too many wickets in the first session. It ended up being Gill who played that role which I didn't think he would do this early in his career.
