Three match winning innings by Attacking Left handers in last few years of test cricket

India has lost 3 tests and won only once in Durban. Those losses too were big losses. 328 runs, 174 runs, 10 wickets.

Philander was Player Of The Series against India in 2018, taking 15 wickets @15.86. In 1 year, he became washed up?

Aussie attack might be better, but like I said, Pant didn't win it single-handedly. He had the support of the batsman at the other end. Perera only had the No. 11 so he had to score all the runs and plan it out all on his own. Previous 3 wickets had fallen for single digit scores.

Yes he did.. Philander retired recently vs Eng..  Steyn was also washed up.  No way in hell that attack is comparable to Aussie one or neither the venue isn't as Daunting as Gabba.  Even Saffers admit Durban is a no no for Asian teams..  Specifically India & Pak who both played their last series on bouncy high veld venues.

Philander in his final year was averaging 20.53 at home. Washed up only in your mind. And you talk like Steyn and Philander were the only bowlers they had. They had Rabada and Duanne Olivier too.

You keep talking about Durban not being daunting yet South Africa have dominated India there. Maybe you're confusing Tests with T20s.

Also you completely ignore that Perera was batting with the No. 11 as if that's the same as batting with another batsman who can help you out in the middle in terms of strategies to plan out the chase, prevent you from doing something stupid and losing your wicket, telling which bowlers you should target and which overs to play off quietly etc. that a No. 11, especially an inexperienced one like Perera was batting with, simply doesn't offer. Rishabh Pant had plenty of support at the other end and he didn't have to play with the fear of protecting the batsman at the other end for most of his innings.

Durban in this decade has been different than it used to be.

Durban is an SC like flat track these days. It used to be pacy and bouncy in 90s and 2000s.
