Bharat Arun - "Kuldeep Yadav is bowling really well in nets, when we play England at home, that will be his time to perform".

The statement is coming from guys who are working and looking at him at nets in Aus . He did play in December in a one dayer where you can show your wares in 10 overs .

There was nothing special or different which i saw than what he was earlier .  nearly  60 runs , and a wicket for a ball  not deserving a wicket.

i would be looking is he beating the bats regularly, does he get drift and turn, is he varying the pace with the same trajectory of the ball , If he wants to slow down the pace he has to lob it up now , which can be easily read by batsmen.  Fun is when he can bowl at a lower trajectory and bowl < 80  kph as well > 88 kph  with the same trajectory, is his flipper hurries through and he is getting more bowled & LBWs  He is also  supposed to have mastered bowling with more speed and revs .

If you feel some one doing magnificently , first thing TM to do is test in practice game  before tests.. nothing happened .

That is why  becomes tough to believe supposed to be "magnificent "  bowling .

I would dearly like to be proved wrong as Kuldeep with lot of guile and control will be an asset any where, any pitch.

Kuldeep bowled well enough in the practice game in Australia. He got turn both ways and some balls zipped through.

But another issue is ... if he is looking so poor at the nets then why pick such a player and block a spot for another supposedly more deserving candidate ?

Whatever I seen of sundar he looks like a proper test bat with very good technique so I would love to see him in this series how he performes, coming back to kuldip if he has sorted out his speed issues and varying pace he should play this series no matter what and with ashwin being unfit he should get a good rope in this series and the next one also.
