Well played Upendra Yadv. Pretty darn good knock that.

A really interesting player who has largely gone under the radar. Hit a 200 vs Mumbai and a 100 vs Baroda in the last Ranji Trophy in 19-20.

Only 24 years old, so has the age on his side. Good to get him in the India A mix for the keeper's role alongside Samson, Kishan, Bharat, Wadkar and Bhui.

We have to get this whole gang in ... Pant, Gill, Shaw, Washington and Padikkal.

3 formats ... so much cricket ... seniors need rest.

The batsmen in the age group between Kohli Rohit and Gill Pant Shaw are also important if we have to have a smooth transition. KL Rahul should have been bossing things in all formats now. Also Agarwal and SKY should have had more game time. This year with the insane schedule might open up spots for everybody.

Prithvi is too loose, won't work at international level.

The too loose perception is accentuated due to too high % of  high risk attacking shots attempted by him .

With refinement to tighten his defense and once he starts respecting good deliveries as well  finds a balance between attack and defense , he will be invaluable for India .

Let  him work out further for this whole season and post T20 WC  we may see him in short format if keeps up his performances .

Do not see any issue in including him short format and then move forward from there based on his performances.

No way he will by  ditched by  indian  board. He is leading Mumbai captain now.

I liked today's approach , single handedly won the match and did not throw away even after 100.

Not everyone  is blessed with innate shot making ability , its j the hard work required to get maximum out of that ability.

Will  be keenly watching him in IPL to see , how he is progressing .

Pant has learned to read match situations and play accordingly. And what a batsman this has made him.

Shaw will learn too. He is 2 years younger. And the day he learns to play as per match situations, he will be another big player.

This biggest trait that is observable in the young generation ... Pant, Gill, Washy, Shaw, Tyagi etc.  ... is the fearless approach. They are not daunted by match situations or personalities.

We need to promote such players.
