Are they matching England's approach in this trophy.Shaw is looking the only standout player, others are scoring at lot lesser SR.Matching England's approach at the top should be the purpose of this tournament.

Shaw is not even in contention for ENG short format series . So this question does not arise at all for him. 

Among others not sure if this will happen as there could be some new faces who will be scared of losing their chance if  they fail while attacking,. This series may mask India's slow approach if Ahbd  pitch aids  bowlers a bit . But when WCT20 is on you will find Flat roads .

Shaw should  be left alone to play Domestic & IPL and if does well play may be post T20WC  to be considered .

Let him find out ways to tackle the problems bowlers are posing and also show the ability to balance attacking play with less risk  till then .

England series does not matter. What I would like to see in this tournament is change in approach towards first ten overs. All I am seeing is the same 1980s approach and scores not  even reaching 300.This approach has to be drilled own from the top down from BCCI and Dravid should have very important role incorporating this approach.

 

This won't happen overnight but this approach has to be drilled down from the top if India wants to evolve in shorter formats.

Too soon for him, he needs more time in domestic cricket. Padkikall scored three hundreds but his SR is very unimpressive.

I just hope that Shaw works hard on his defence. If he clicks, he scores like a mad man .

Rathore is useless but I don't think it is upto him to change the approach. That change in approach cannot be done Rohit or Kohli. It is too late for them to change. It is upto youngsters who are coming up to play with the pace game in first ten overs. But for that to happen it has to come from Ganguly and down.

This biggest trait that is observable in the young generation ... Pant, Gill, Washy, Shaw, Tyagi etc.  ... is the fearless approach. They are not daunted by match situations or personalities.

 

We need to promote such players.

there are more too who are not getting chances even at A or zonal levels - like samad. I feel he has huge potential for LOIs if groomed well and with an eye to the long term. If handled well, he could become a destructive player at no. 5, 6 or 7 and could serve as 6th bowler too.

So Mumbai vs Karnataka will not be shown it seems. WTH is up with BCCI organizing semifinals in that stupid ground where matches cant be telecast from. Its one thing to do it in the group stages but come the KOs all the matches should be shown. What a waste
